Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

Now exactly what is going to happen after we politically "leave" a continent that we've spent decades harmonising with and that houses the country in which we live?0
-
Ahh yes, indeed.
That would be Labour's famous support for UK business then.
Don't worry. The Blairites are going going gone, when JC gets in it'll all be nationalised then you can guarantee that the UK will use UK manufacturers.
Won't that be something for you to look forward to!

... what? He's wanting to re-nationalize stuff, which is the opposite. The Tories are the ones who want to sell everything off for bargain basement prices to their friends. What's Corbyn been threatening to give away?
So it doesn't matter that he wants to give away the Falklands, even though the Falklanders want to remain British. Wants to reunify Ireland, even though the last referendum went against it, and he thinks Scottish independance is "absolutrly fine".
He's being realistic; the nuclear deterrent isn't actually a deterrent because the only time we'd ever use it is too late. I honestly doubt that it has any bearing in Putins decisions not to attack Europe. If anything it makes Glasgow the primary target.
That is the whole idea of a deterrent. If Putin, or anyone else, wished to fire a nuclear weapon at us at the moment they know it would come at a cost. If, however, Corbyn was in power, they would know that they could do it and suffer no retaliation from us, which is rather stupid because the rest of civilization would then have to decide who was going to punish him, it couldn't be left unpunished because they would then think they could destroy any country they wanted with impunity. God help us if that punishment was left to the eu, by the time they had made a decision civilisation would be lost. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

You are kidding, if he ever got in it would be the unions running things, the working week would be cut down to 4 days, if not 3, all British companies would be bankrupted and so would the UK.
Don't imagine for one minute that your dear leader owes nothing to Momentum, they designed and built him, they can destroy him. All they would have to do is publish the truth. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
In fact Scotland is a good target for them, as their progressive, inclusive and socialist culture with an emphasis on Education and internationalism, is summative of most of the things the English right despises, and it's been well advertised during the Indy-ref.
But the progressive, inclusive and socialist culture in Scotland has brought about an utter disaster in the Scottish education system thanks to the SNP's policies. You don't need to be right wing or English to despise it. Many parents in Scotland do so too.0 -

He’s probably right in his view, but you simply can’t say stuff like that if you aspire to be leading the country. Sometimes even if you know its !!!!!!!!, you just need to parrot some nonsense to avoid controversy and just play the game. Time and time again Corbyn has proved incapable of this. Its admirable that a politician speaks honestly, but he’s too honest.0 -

JC will need money for his ambitious plans.
Somehow I suspect he will find the pot even emptier than the one left to the Coalition in 2010.
That's not even accounting for all the wealthy who will funnel their money elsewhere.
He is basically about 20 years too late to do anything of note.
Maybe he could invite in some middle Eastern money. He has mentioned some "friends" out there in the past. Hmm...0 -

In 1982, Argentina invaded the Falklands because we led them to think that we would simply abandon them. At the time, they were going through a major economic crisis and wanted to divert domestic attention from it.
Today, they are going through another economic crisis and are again trying to divert domestic attention.
I'm not suggesting that they are planning another invasion but if Corbyn were PM, my guess is that they would chance their arm. What would Corbyn do? Try to arrange a meeting to discuss it?0 -
I saw this happen in my own industry, when in the 1980s successful small companies that had existed in some cases for a century or more were (very quickly, it seemed) sold off to big foreign corporations.
The UK in the main holds a short term view. Jam today. Rather than say long term community values. Not the role of the Government to intervene in management/ownership decisions. Unless it's in the national interest.0 -

Then if you know your political history. The party was only united by the Blair\Brown axis. Ad has been proved subsequently. Unity only runs skin deep. Only a matter of time for the divisions to be revealed.0
