Indeed. Your nostalgia for the EU is heartwarming.

I'd hardly view the descent into national decline as 'heartwarming'.....but at least we'll have our blue passports back.0 -
Well he is off to speak to Barnier again, apparently.

Double outrage!!!:)
Good point. I don't remember much outrage when Farage wanted to visit.
As head of the opposition, Corbyn has a fairly major say in how his party votes on the deal, so I don't see the issue.0 -

Surely you know the line by now.......He's a traitor, not sticking up for our national interests against those dastardly continental chaps;)0 -

Will be interesting if we ever see information about what they discussed. I seem to recall that Barnier has previously said he would not talk to anyone outside government about this, and he certainly does not like it when we talk to people outside the bureaucracy of the eu, so he really should not be agreeing to speak to Khorbyn. I cannot see any such talks being constructive, they are more likely to be Khorbyn begging the eu to !!!! around long enough to let him in and him promising that he would block Brexit if the country was ever stupid enough to let the unions get hold of power. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
"This article is over 11 months old" so I'm not sure the outrage is justified.
Thankyou for pointing that out, I pasted in the wrong link by mistake.
I have edited the post and substituted this link:

My take is that the recent stance by "Labour" and Corbyn's mutterings and visit have decreased the chances of a deal being reached but increased the chances of any hard fought deal getting improved by Parliament.Union, not Disunion

Corbyn is leader of the opposition. He's got the final decision on how a little under half of the MP's will vote when it comes to approval. He's essentially government here. It's also seeming more and more likely that Mays plan will collapse and Corbyn may be in a position to take over with governing and negotiating, so I don't think it's at all unreasonable that he'd want to speak to Barnier.
Farage has no place in Parliament, has no say or authority.
Though I agree this will likely make things harder for May, but if he gives Barnier an idea of what sort of deal Labour will agree to, as well as showing that someone in the UK is competent, it may actually improve things.0 -

You do realise before the Salzburg summit Theresa May was travelling around the EU trying to peel off particular countries in an attempt to undermine Barnier's position!

You do realise that Barnier's position is dictated to him by Member States.Union, not Disunion
