Lots of people buy using future contracts. The site is listed at the start of this thread using the tool for buying at the best rates and I have heard of them so no worries there I don`t think. Payment is by bank transfer or cheque but is straight away in that you can`t wait till Feb to pay.

Don`t think it is anything dodgy at all. Just a gamble by us that the rates won`t be better than that come February. Do you think they will be? I don`t.

Having said all that, I have just read on another forum that these companies are not bonded in any way so if they go bust you lose your money!! Don`t know if this is true or not. Can anyone advise??

Thanks for your advice, I'll think I'll wait and keep my fingers crossed for a rise in rates. Don't really want to take a gamble whether a company will still be in business or not and theres no gurantees, especially in this financial climate.
  • I just received my dollars fron CCE a few days ago, it was well worth using them to get a good rate ($1.90) but i did worry about them having problems in the current climate. So thumbs up from me if you can deal with the waiting.
  • Hi there, can anyone tell me if there are legal implications about buying and selling currency on ebay? I have a few dollars (1k) to sell and wondered if this was against the law or had other implications

I have seen eBayers sell dollars on ebay before.

Cant see why there should be a problem.

  • Hi All,

I'm interested in the latest deal from the MGM Grand :-
    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=001&code=INB233&kbid=1162904

In particular I like the look of the Bungalow Suite. I'm going at the end of March & a Bungalow Suite is $908 for 7 days. Seems cheap! Even with a lousy exchange rate.

The main question is : Where are the Bungalow Suites? Are they a long wlk from the main casino? Can somebody give an opinion on this (non-refundable)deal please.

I know the principle is NOT to book non-refundable - but .......?
