Bad day due to King saying we are already in a recession which will continue well into 2009. I predicted it would bottom out at 1.45 but now reckon we will be looking at a rate around 1.35 in the coming weeks. No decent rise until late 2009.0

It is a bit like petrol, get to know where the best prices are locally to you for the best prices and sometimes not worth spending money to go out of your way to get a slightly better price/rate.
There is also a risk having foreign currency lying around at home for extednde periods of time.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
It's gone down to 1.46 on Thomas Exchange Global which I find has the best rate usually. High street stores must be at an even lower figure...0

Judging by the new terms it actually seems there is no mention of cancelling forward contracts at all. Only a mention that ASAP orders cant be cancelled, so from that I can only assume that if forward contracts aren't paid they are cancelled.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The Company reserves the right to cancel any order at any time for any reason. In the event of the Company cancelling an order the customer will be reimbursed the full amount paid, by cheque or credit transfer depending on the initial form of payment.
Once an ASAP order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled, however, the company may buy back the currencies, (NOT Travellers Cheques), through the buy back option.
Just a warning to everyone, crown currency exchange's t & c s have changed AGAIN, see below. Now NO orders (including forward orders) can be cancelled!!! I was about to buy currency for my trip next summer but no chance now.

Once a customer has entered a contract and paid for the currency an order can only be cancelled in extraordinary circumstances wholly at the discretion of the Company.
