The UK and EU are predicted to make up to a 050% interest rate cut so dont view the rise today as something that is going to happen on a daily basis.0

without wanting to assume too much, i reckon the dollar could go back to around the 1.70 mark between now and whenever BofE cuts rates again. a cut would prob mean another fall for the pound but how low is another question. i for one am going to be closely monitoring it early next week.0

Hello
I am off to the US on holiday over Christmas and I have been watching the rate of the dollar get lower and lower. Does anyone have any advice as to if I should wait and see if the Bank of Englad cuts interest rates or buy some tomorrow while the rate is still average. I am from the US and got $2.00 to the £1 this year. Gutted now! Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!0 -

Hello and welcome to MSE.
Before posting questions on these forums, it is a good idea to use the search facility at the top of the page to check if the question has been asked before.
Even without using that, you might have seen that there is a 'sticky' thread about the US ($) currency at the top of this board.
Reading these will tell you all you need to know.
Although, I suppose we could save you the trouble and tell you again.........
