Hey all, Im heading out to vegas on the 16th sept - 25th and at the moment the dollar rate to the pound is averaging 1.84, which has dropped quite a bit in the past 6 months. So m,y question is - is it best to buy now before it drops any more or wait out in the hope that it may go up???

If anyone looking to buy US$ at the moment is based in London, I really recommend the tourist tat shops on Oxford Street. I was window shopping last week and when the best exchange rate online was at 1.88, I found 1.96 in one of these shops. There are several close to Marble Arch and a few more closer to Tottenham Court Road tube- bit of a hassle to go into them all, but you might get a bargain!

    Are you sure?

Isnt that a bit like going out and buying a car for £10,000 and then driving straight to a garage and selling it for £6000?

A couple of months ago, after a heart attack, I had to cancel our holiday to Florida and tried to sell the $975 dollars I had, for £500 on this forum. Someone pointed out that this was not allowed and I was left with the $s. Am I glad that they pointed out my misdemeadour because I still have them!

    Check your email - I've pm'd you.

I have used CCE 3 times with no problems. Bought about 5 months in advance and scored each time.
