  • Hiya, Sorry for sounding 'thick' but I have just won $100 (american express/ u.s dollar travellers cheque) - it was sent to me today.

Where do I 'cash it in'?? Do I need to take any id to cash it??- is it free to cash at any bank - do they take a percentage/commision??

is it free at the postoffice (or do they take commission??)

Will I get ALL $100 worth in british pounds - what is it by the way??

Will be grateful for help - THANK YOU!!XX

Sorry couldnt help myself, take em to the post office and they wil change it up for you, they dont charge commision but also they dont offer the best rate so its swings and round abouts, the selling price at the mo is about $2.1 to the £ so you get under £50.

So, that's what you call yours then, I call mine Harry;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
