Wll bear that in mind about Fremont street, thanks for the tip.

Sticky carpets!?! Yuk! Glad I'm not staying there!

Can't imagine we'll have a chance to gamble, freely or otherwise, daughter is 13 so imagine we'll be 'moved along' if we try to linger.

there are kids all over the place. you won't get "moved on".
it's very much a friendly atmosphere and not the dodgy dingy places you get over here.

the bellagio, in my opinion, is still the best. the reception is beautiful. the gardens are amazing and there is the staircase that julia roberts walked down in oceans 11.
just make sure you walk in ALL of the large resort casinos... they're awesome (awesome - i'm already 1/2 american)

Las Vegas one of those places you see so often on the TV, I imagine it will seem slightly surreal to actually be there!

    Jackie,

I am so jealous of your trip, especially the Lake Havasu part.

I spent 6 months there, followed a boy who i thought was the love of my life. I was wrong about him, but boy did i have fun in Havasu.

My brother came out to stay for his 21st and we went to Vegas, we used to go alot as its just a few hours away. My dad had given him money for us to do a weeks road trip together, we spent a night at the tables instead. Its 24 hours that i will never ever forget, don't think my dad was too impressed though.... Think it was all the alcohol they kept giving us, expensive drinks when you think about it. All we had to show for those 24 hours was a major hangover and a coin bucket from every casino on the strip. Oh and a ton of cool memories of a sister and her little brother, living it up in Vegas.

    God i feel old, lol

Lake Havasu is known as "Have a few, have a screw, Havasu"

It is mental at spring break time, gotta see it to believe it.

Not alot to tell about the boy, he thought i would chase him forever, i would'nt, he regretted it. :rotfl:
