i'm going to sound like a right boring git now... but here goes...

been to san diego zoo. was a very good day out!
my wifes first weekend away was to chester zoo. so it was kind of like for old times sake!
we stayed in la jolla instead on san diego. £180 a night for a "boutique" hotel. overpriced crap if you ask me :)

had a converitble cars (sebring and mustang). drove from san fran - LA - Vegas in it. superb. but you'll have to put 1 case in the boot and 1 on the back seat!
sebring was very good. mustang was awful!!
i always book with airline-network.com... book economy 2 door and always get upgrade to a mid size 4 door (american's don't do 2 door economy)

    PS i'm 36 going on 22

Not boring at all... discussing holidays is never boring!

Bellagio fountains (or is this a show?) :)
Outlet at the north part of town for shopping
    The Lions in the MGM
Freemont street at night (it's old school - bit rough, be careful not to wander too far away)
People watching - watch people gambling! I've seen people lose $10k on the turn of a card.

    some more extras...
The food! Bellagio buffet is awesome.
Ohh.. Lake Mead - just outside vegas. Hire a speedboat for a couple of hours! (not as expensive as you'd think!)
just walk along the strip and around the casinos. the free shows are awesome. there are the sirens of treasure island. the volcano at mirage (so so).

well my friend and I love to go to "!!!!!!'s Last Resort" in the Excalibur - amazing food, cheap, and you get jovially abused by the staff who provide amazing entertainment all night. Tissue paper is distributed among the customers to throw at each other and they even did a mock bellagio fountain with the draught drink dispenser when i was there last. AMAZING. we had a great laugh and we are going straight back when we arrive :)

It's 2 weeks today until we are flying to LA. 5 nights there then 2 nights Cambria (up the PCH) then Vegas for 2 nights, Grand Canyon 1 night, back to Vegas for a further 5 nights and finally 5 nights in San Diego. We did really want to go to Yosemite but the pass will still be closed so we thought it would have to wait until next time. Have made the decision today that we will do Knotts Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo and Sea World - we've got two children with us aged 13 and 10. On my list of things to do in Vegas is the chocolate factory and M & M world. Just hoping that the £ recovers so we can afford to do lots of shopping.
