Yeah, that's fine. If you don't want to wear a seatbelt it's your choice, you're only endangering yourself.
Of course, if you happened to be in an accident and were only horribly maimed rather than killed, it's not like you'd be expecting the NHS to spend societies resources picking up the pieces right?
No I don't actually. The NHS is a thieving money pit created by the left wing Labour government. If you want health insurance, buy it yourself and don't expect others to pay for it.
Oh and would you say people should be arrested for hillwalking? They might fall and need rescue.....0 -
ROFLMAO, funniest thing I've heard for ages. I can guarantee you that you're not paying trade prices for parts even when they show you a receipt. When I buy car parts from Halfords using my trade card I get two receipts, one for the price I paid, one for the retail price they charge to show the customer if they ask.
I pay as little as £5 for brake pads, as little as 50p for sidelight and brake light bulbs, £3.50 for wiper blades....you?
If they get parts for me, they're of a similar price to what I can get on Ebay or Eurocarparts. The other garage is about 3 to 4 times that amount. And they let me supply my own parts, so obviously no markup there.
Ah so you're admitting that you rip off your customers? Two receipts? And that's actually legal?! Go hand yourself and Halfords into trading standards. And let the group know where you work so we can all avoid you.0 -

And yet you think the government should step in to prevent companies doing business as they see fit for your benefit:[...]
It's about time markup was made illegal. Charging £60 for a £15 part is the theft of £45.

He's moaning about the loony left, yet he wants it to be illegal to make a profit. Joe Stalin would be proud...0 -

Pure and absolute hyperboleshit. Just because some politicians have their noses in the trough doesn't mean they all have. Many of the leading brexiteers like Jacob Rees Snob has shipped all his investments to EU land so that he doesn't lose out. He's not the only one. Many of the brexiteers also oppose anything being done about offshore investments.
There are many honest and hardworking politicians in the UK parliaments. You just don't hear about them very often as that doesn't make the cut on any of the tabloids.0 -
I remember someone saying that a quick fit place used to tell their staff that people will accept a bill up to £300 without question.
I remember asking a plumber to quote for a new boiler. £2500. OK well I have costed the boiler and flue etc and that is £700 so that equals £1800 labour. Does it take a week to fit a boiler? No less than a day. £1800 a day labour? £2500 was suddenly reduced to £1300.
I suspect it's the same with a garage. If people know the price of parts then they can find fitting times on the internet and suddenly people are discovering £300 is too much and £150 is closer to the mark.
Everybody tries to rip you off, especially garages. Also double glazing companies. I was quoted £7000 for my double glazing by Weatherseal. When I said that was too much he "phoned his boss" and reduced it to £3500. I told his "boss" in no uncertain terms that if he was prepared to overcharge me by £3500 he could get lost. The salesman got very angry and left, asking me why I'd asked him to come round if I didn't want to buy windows. He didn't seem to understand the concept of a "quotation". I asked a local firm for a quote and they said £2100. I gave them the job instead.0 -

You can't be that stupid. He's pointing out that companies make up prices and rip you off.0
