Up with the lark but makng the most of it, we live in a small village out in the country and here it is busy from about 5am whilst it's still cool, you don't see a soul in the afternoon, either napping or watching Tour de France on TV (in my case both at the same time) and then start pottering around 9pm. Keeping all the shutters shut all day and only opening up at night to let cool air in helps a lot although it was still 29° in the bedrooms last night at 10pm so we did not get an early night at all.

Got loads to do in the house so that will get done this morning, then will try and do a few errands in the car this afternoon (my car is very small and the aircon cools it down quickly). Cinema tonight (hope it's airconditioned) to start the holidays, then very busy day loading up for the holidays, Sunday in the big city and then we're done for 4 weeks!

    So today is:
    Washing
    Tidy round
    Last bits of paperwork
    Packing
    Phone call

    Keep cool and drink plenty

Narc0lepsy how worrying, glad the horses are ok.

Ending up having a neirhbour for evening 'drinks' in the garden last night, unexpected, so it was water or soft drinks as I didn't have anything else!

    Today:-
    Cat feeding
    Wm is on
    Tip run
    Food shop
    Invoices / orders to do.

It did rain here last night for all of 2 mins, very lightly, sunny now.

    Morning All :)

I am busy tidying, cleaning and washing this morning - kiddies go to Grandmas today for two nights and I want to be able to enjoy a clean house when they're gone :D

Finished my book in bed this morning with a cuppa, will start my new one later. We had heavy rain here yesterday :T so no need to water the plants this morning. The grass already looks a little greener!

    HHC anyone? x

Urgh. I need a shower. And quite possibly a paracetamol.

Apparently I have a stomach ulcer.. fantastic for weight loss if you can deal with the pain I highly recommend it!I can't.. I'd rather be fat!

    Congratulation YL .. well deserved!

We had thunder and rain and its still really close and humid.. Boots and Sainsbugs have A/C.. so I go there to browse. ;)

Done nothing but sleep and lounge about and lay in bed for a week.. but I do feel very slightly more human today. Not well enough to do anything with the girls so OH is after taking them to the park again.

have you bleached them? green scrubby scourers said DD2.. and use vaseline on them in future to avoid dying them in the first place! lol

Pigpen ouch, no I'm not that desperate a slinkie.
Last night was the hottest ever, very little sleep, lots of spectacular lightning and occasional thunder but not a drop of rain.
    - Walked through village to post a letter.
    - On the way back, picked up a few little plums from the 'village tree'. - - Washed, halved and froze them with some other fruit to make a smoothie later.
    - Went to check greenhouse and found a young blackbird panicking behind the tomato plants. We led each other a merry dance till I captured it; I don't know which of us was the hottest as the greenhouse must be about a million degrees even with door and windows open.
    - Tidied a few things in kitchen, washed up, wiped surfaces etc.
    - Re-potted a small palm plant for the conservatory.
    - filled bird feeders
    - Booked prom tickets for Mr N's birthday next week. Still wrestling with the restaurant for this afternoon tea I have booked to use a Gr0up0n voucher. Latest is an email confirming the booking, so that is progress, but they want the voucher before the day which seems rather odd. I emailed to ask whether they wanted it posted or scanned and emailed but no reply. Fortunately we're going to London tomorrow for a family party and it isn't too far from the venue, so will drop in and see what they are playing at. Hope temperature lower tomorrow as getting on crowded buses/tubes isn't an attractive prospect.
