Just plodding along at the moment until DH gets paid. He's been told he'll get paid "something" this month but that his pay won't be accurate until next month. So no idea how much to expect! He came home today with a free bag full of gammon and bacon from a butcher he visited with work. I'm not sure how I will get all into he freezer (honestly, there is loads!!) but I'm very grateful for it.
I nipped into b00ts today as I needed some make up and had a voucher that expires soon, but I couldn't justify the prices even with the voucher. So I went to the £shop instead and got what I needed for £1.0 -
My ds2 used to get gammon joints from work. We did appreciate them but even with OH creativity we got a bit tired of them. He was the apprentice so got last dibs !!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

DH has been paid :j 2 days early :j:j and more than expected :j:j:j so I've made a few more payments. I'd love to pay off another £192 to bring me below £24,000 but I'm being cautious for the time being.
This week is half term but FIL has the children for 2 days, and only told me after I'd booked the time off work, so I've got the day to myself. I'm currently enjoying a coffee in peace, but plan to get out for a walk in the sunshine at some point, do some yoga, get some batch cooking done, and tackle the mountain of ironing.0 -
Not a bad day - I've received a £25 gift card I cashed out from Sb, got £20 Pizza Hut vouchers in the post after I made a complaint, and sold a £5 item on eBay.
Looking back at my goals for February:
1. List DC3s old clothes for sale! I listed half of them, none have sold yet
2. Keep hydrated. Must do better
3. Take iron pills. Must do better
4. Practice yoga at least twice a week. Must do better, but in my defence I did get out for a few walks instead
5. Clear the loft room to find & list items to sell. Not even started it
6. Reduce debt below £24,500. Smashed this one! Debt currently £24,191.61
7. Pay at least £100 back to dad. Done, £200
So overall I'm happy with my progress on the debt front but must do better at looking after me.
March goals:
1. Continue decluttering and listing items for sale (including DC3s old clothes!)
2. Eat more fruit and veg, drink more water
3. Reduce debt below £23,500
4. Pay at least £200 back to dad0 -
Debt is going down and that is good! Self care always helps too
You might find THIS USEFUL Great for selling children's stuff and picking up bargains and donating to charity all at the same time!

Thanks for reminding me about this. I had a look last time you mentioned it, then completely forgot - memory like a sieve!!0 -
Today has been a spend day. £22 at a restaurant for 2 adult meals, 3 kids meals, 4 drinks and a huge sharing dessert - I don't think that's too bad at all. We were a bit disappointed that their play area was closed though, as that was the main reason we went there. Food was good but I don't think we'd choose that restaurant again - too many children who dont know how to behave, and parents who were drinking too much to care .
Tomorrow I plan to sort the children's old clothes and toys again and order a sellers pack for the nct sale once I know how many items I'll have. Thanks again for reminding me Igamogam.0 -
