Great news on the car, the paypal claim, the community orchard AND the cheap meat! Go you :T :T :T .
Hope the rest of your garden didn't blow away.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -
Hi
If you like pickles I stole a recipe from greying pilgrim. Cucumber sliced with chopped spring onions. Mix in cider vinegar, garlic and honey and leave to steep. Really yummy and i’m not usually a pickle person.0 -

Thank you. DD & I both like pickles so I might give this a try0 -
Yesterday was such a tiring day! DC3 was up in the night between midnight - 2am. I was then up for the day at 6am and between work, after school activities & just generally playing mums taxi didn't get home until 8.30 last night.
This morning he slept until 6am & DD took him off me at 7am so I went back to bed for an hour. I almost feel human again now :j.
It's our wedding anniversary today so DH & I are going out for a meal tonight at the place we got married. We're going for the early bird menu as it's a bit cheaper :money:. Really looking forward to it.
I'm currently wishing the next 2 weeks away as by then my debt should be down to around £23,500.0 -

I really should check :rotfl:0 -
DH put the heating on earlier today and discovered we have a leak   and now a wet patch on the lounge ceiling too   . I've messaged the plumber and am waiting for a response. At least I have money in savings that can pay for the repair.
Our anniversary meal was delicious. £45 for 3 courses and 2 drinks. We got home just in time for me to have a cuddle with DC3 and put him to bed myself.

We've (hopefully) got a plumber coming first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed it won't be an expensive repair.
I've sold an item on eBay today and have about £4 profit after postage and fees. This puts my savings at £500...until I have to raid them to pay the plumber. Depending on how much it is I might pay the plumber from the current account and try to make enough sales to cover the cost. I can always transfer from the savings account at a later date if I need to.
Proud mum today. DC2 was playing rugby this morning and scored his first try since playing full contact. It's given him a real confidence boost.0 -
How annoying to need the plumber, hope it isn't too pricey. I am slightly terrified of turning ours on - we've had to get a plumber out every year of the three we've lived here when we've tried to turn the heating on for the first time as our boiler is very elderly and we're trying to limp it on until next year when we have our extension done. One more winter to go!Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.

The plumber hasn't turned up . I messaged him this morning, he said he forgot and would call on his way home, but still no sign of him. We've had problem after problem with tradespeople since moving into the house less than a year ago. The radiator was only fitted last November, leaked as soon as the heating was turned back on and had to be repaired. It's the same joint that's leaking again. DH thinks it's a 10 minute job, just wish we could get somebody here to do it!0
