Go through the steps in this link which also means clicking through to Apple support. If your dealing with them online you should get the option to have the conversation emailed to you.

If you can’t come to an agreement then you challenge them through the consumer rights act

It might end up going all the way to small claims court so this might be helpful

Hi John22, Did you get anywhere with this? I'm just suffering the same cold shoulder from Apple after update 12.0.1. Been over a week now without phone and without proper explanation/solution from Apple's side. In the mean time no phone.. driving me mad. My iPhone 7 was 3 weeks out of warranty when this kicked off. Payed the extra £10/month to EE for 36 months only to get nothing back. I've been an Apple customer in private and with my company since the very first iMac in '98, but now I'm feeling betrayed.

Sorry you misread the post I was giving helpful links to the person that was having issues.

If your having issues then please follow those links. If you can't find a solution or action plan from those links then I am unsure what other steps you can take unless you know someone in person who can do it for you.
