    B and Queueing

Sorry guys I know this is a serious thread, but at the junction for the B and Q in Loughborough is a MASSIVE billboard that says

Fed up with B & Queueing - Wickes is 1 minute up the road on the right

I laughed so much, couldn't believe they could be so cheeky!!

    LOL

Thats all very nice but you don't actually know what happend!

It's all to easy to say what other people should be doing but the may have been a very good reason why she did this. The fact is you don't know! why always take the easy option of saying what people should be doing, why not think that there could be more to it than meets the eye!

The fact is we don't know the full story of why the staff behaved this way but she was getting paid to serve and deal with customers no matter what her problem was. I with the op on this one, I don't want to stand in a queue when I could be getting served

Now I wonder what I would have done in that situation................oh yeah, ask!

Well I think you know my "you don't know" argument by now & I'm still not sure why you can't see any reasons for justifying this. What about this, she could be suffering sexual harassment from her boss or something maybe even worse, that ends up throwing a different spin on things when the person who employed you could be doing that? It would lessen how much you care about what your being paid to do.

How far do you take this then? If someone behind a till has a heart attack would you be telling then to do it in their own time was their being paid to serve? Are you one of these people who rather than helping or being interested in getting help would more be wondering who's going to take over on till?

This forum is getting worse, someone cant just come on here and post something without twenty people jumping down their throat. This is the Consumer Vent Board - OP is venting. I don't know if there are restrictions or criteria for posting a vent but OP didn't like their service and all OP got was - well dont shop there etc. Well lets go on to the DFW forum and tell all the people on there asking for help not to get into debt in the first place!! Maybe OP does have to shop there, maybe they live somewhere where B & Q is the only place to get what they need, maybe she was taking back something for a friend. You dont know so just leave people alone - if you dont have anything useful or helpful to say just move on!!!

If you're going to post something, you should expect people to react.
  • If you stood there, why did you not say excuse me? It's not that difficult.

I wonder if they sneeked in with a smaller one and put it by the counter where Paintpot was standing???

Well, no one would have noticed would they...:rotfl:

I get where everyone is coming from but honestly as a customer do you care what the staff are having problems with. Nope, I'm there to buy...not be a councillor.

There is always a member of staff with a problem (or just a serial whinger) so if we thought that way we would be suffering this stuff everyday.

Employees have a code of conduct to stick to.

However, whilst there is no excuse for it I can understand why certain situations could provoke an emotional response such as this e.g. bereavement.

The other side of the argument is that you justify staff taking out their problems on customers. I've seen that plenty of times and taken people away to calm the situation down (before they get lamped!)

I think paintpot did the right thing by waiting and not attempting to get involved in an escalating situation where they could have turned on paintpot just for asking them to do their job.

Oh I see, it's all my fault that I wasn't served promptly and was treated rudely because I didn't make it known clearly enough that I wanted to be served. I'll take a bell with me next time and ring it loudly so I'll definitely be noticed as queing at the returns desk with a box in my hand was obviously not clear enough to the advisor. God give me strength.

I don't know why you've taken that tone with Chocolatechipcookies, he/she was just trying to be helpful and mentioned what would have been common sense to do in that situation.
