  • Just catching up Robin. I had missed you and thank you for stopping by my diary.

Glad the children are enjoying school. How is D'S doing overall? My youngest started in reception last week and is loving it. I am missing him though. Children are funny things though. I took my two and my friends two to the golden arches for lunch yesterday as they'd all had a great week at school. They told me it was their best day ever and my friends two said it was better than their holiday to Ibiza. I guess we underestimate children and as long as we give them our time and attention they are happy.

We went self managed in our DMP a couple of years ago and only pay token payments and have had no bother at all. You need to do the royal mail surveys you get paid in stamps!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend and DH's arm is healing properly xx

Hi BB50. Thank you, glad to hear your little one enjoyed his first week in reception :) I still miss mine when they are at school. How lovely they all enjoyed their trip out so much :). DS still struggles with bad anxiety and low moods but overall seems to be doing better. Lately, I have somehow been able to sense when he's going to start having a panic attack, although thankfully he's not having as many. He has Mocks again this week at school and so far he has been revising and trying to keep himself calm about them. Good to hear another story of no drama going self managed. Will have a look into the RM surveys, thanks.

Today was just spent at home, was going to have a lazy day but got up and decided to re arrange the living room and dining room, looks so much better. Everything has had a good clean and more stuff bagged up for the charity shop, I literally don't know how I keep on finding things with the amounts I've got ridden of lately. Another black bin bag filled with junk too, definitely makes me more aware of what I'm buying lately as hate throwing so much non recyclable stuff away.

Yesterday my MIL gave DD some dressing up clothes, and I accidentally chucked them in with my normal wash today and everything is covered in glitter  I hate glitter, makes me itch so much. Going to take ages for it to get out of the clothes.

Sold two more of my ornaments for £25. Sold most now but haven't really tried to shift the rest lately so will try and get them out of my way. DS has been doing okay selling some of his stuff too, think he's made about £80 so far. Was a nice surprise when he spent some of it buying me the soundtrack for the musical we are off to see in November as I said I'd like to learn the songs :)

Wow I remember the accident, can't believe it's a year.

That's such a sweet gift from your DS :)

Well done on the sales :T

Yes that year has gone crazy quick, we had all hoped he would have improved more but his injuries are likely to cause lifelong complications :(

Wow, weather sure changed today. Very nippy out and torrential rain. Dropped into see my sister after work and then had to pick my niece up from the train station. Athletics has been cancelled for good now. DD really enjoyed it so it is a shame, the other option is a group at 9am on Saturday mornings about 25 minutes away. She said she likes it but not that much, thank god for that :rotfl:

Unfortunately not. He was on a business trip in Germany when it happened and my sister said since he's been back here, the police don't seem that bothered

Not much to report today. Had work, hoped to have a hour in peace when I got home but DH come home early 10 minutes after me and the kitten terrorised me while eating my lunch :rotfl: just waiting for DD to finish her swimming lesson and will have a chilled evening.

Have the day off tomorrow so off out with best friend to look at all the Christmas bits out, see if we can get any ideas or grab some bargains. DS's theatre tickets arrived today, that was quick!

Thanks Jwil. She was so pleased to go up another stage :).

Today was a very spendy day. I hope no one will think that I've decided to pay token payments and then go out on a big splurge! It's all money I've saved all year for Christmas and DD's birthday and clung onto with my dear life lately :rotfl:. So me and my best friend popped to the shops, picked up a few bits and then I ordered some more stuff online. Plus ordered Pantomime tickets and Go Ape tickets again for DD and her friend for her birthday, as she decided she would prefer that instead of a party, used my discount pass so got £12 off. Easily spent about £250, will have to add it all up but that's DD's birthday sorted (apart from one thing she's asked for, which is £14) Christmas started and panto booked :)

There was a swing tennis set in the shop reduced to £1, so got that DD and she was out in the garden for ages after school. Haven't felt too great this evening, all hot then cold and clammy, hope it passes soon.

Had to pop to the post office to pick some stuff up my brother has sent as will be starting to help him again as I do in the run up to Christmas every year. Hopefully the pallets will be arriving next week, then no one will be able to move in here for all the boxes :rotfl:

Does anyone know why when I post on here, it always shows the time as an hour behind?
