    Thanks all :)

Been a busy few days again. Worked all weekend, plus looked after my nephew for a bit. Also decided to sort the garden out, the one side is so overgrown with brambles from next door, so DH let me loose with the hedge cutter and we are putting up a tall fence, spent the money that I have clung onto for so long for a new kitchen floor but now is the right time of year for the garden.

DH has got a new splint that is removable to do more exercises but has got to be very careful so the tendon doesn't snap again. I would not be a very good carer that's for sure, getting fed up of him acting like he's had his arm chopped off :rotfl:

DS spent 6 hours in the barbers today having his hair dyed pink. He got a great discount as he's been going there for years and they said if they could take photos they would do it for £20 instead of £50. He's happy with it and it does suit him. Had a bad night with him the other night though having a panic attack :(:( he should have been in Holland right now on the trip he dropped out off, felt quite sad when I saw all his friends going without him, so much has changed for him this last year.

Had best friend and her girls over today. She is off to visit her parents for nearly 3 weeks now, will miss her :o but had a nice day with them all.

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend.

DD came into work with me today. She was happy colouring in and watching a film on her tablet, then my boss's grandson came in so they played together again. Had planned to walk the nature reserve afterwards but it was torrential, so will do that tomorrow. She also enjoyed her swim lesson today.

Done the budget for August  not pretty considering it's the school holidays. Going to have to dip into the savings again to cover DH's time off at the beginning of the month and pyhsio each week. But I am going to start having my weekly £20 again, as haven't had any lately and that will cover slimming world and doing bits with the DC.

Did just spend £106 on school uniform bits, stationery and trainers for DS ready for September. All I need to get now is a backpack for DS and shoes for DD. A lot less than usual but DS doesn't need a new Blazer or PE kit this time and his shoes are still good. Packed up the stuff that doesn't fit anymore and will drop it off at the charity shop.

If we manage to stick to budget this month we will have around £700 left in the savings, so come September we need to get this up again, but very aware that we need to start savings for so many different things that are cropping up :o

Nor me. I need to have a look and see what will do for next year and what needs replacing.

Well done on being so organised!

I'm not usually this organised because it usually involves a day out shopping to the specialist school shop for DS, but he doesn't need anything this time so could get it all online :) his school are bringing in logoed trousers this year as compulsory uniform that cost £18 a pair  but thankfully because he's going into year 11 they gave us the option for 50p iron on badges :D feel for the other parents who have to buy it, even worse for those with more than one child at the school.

Yesterday we did the long trail at the nature reserve. DD took her torch to go into the cave entrance which she calls the 'fairy cave' :) also saw wild boar which she is never sure weather to be fascinated or terrified by :rotfl:. Back home then to sort more of the garden out and painting the fence frame, kept us busy for hours.

Work this morning and then I took DD to the hair salon to have a colourful braid put in, £5 well spent as she is chuffed. DS hasn't left his room today but thinks it's okay as he's been talking to friends all day through the computer *add rolls eyes emoji here*

1 1/2 off at slimming this evening, so happy with that.

Well done on the weight loss :T

I'm so lucky with our school that they don't insist on logo'd uniform. As long as it's the right colours they don't care.

Thanks Jwil. DD's isn't that fussed either thankfully. But her school colour is only sold in one of the big supermarkets and tried the cardigans before and they were pretty rubbish. But saw they have a new material one now so are giving them a go and £8 for two is much better than £12 for one with the logo on, so fingers crossed.

Feeling a bit pathetic today. Everyone at work is away for a family funeral so I was asked to pop in and do some bits that I don't normally do. Very easy simple things I should add. Well I could hardly sleep last night thinking I'd get it wrong :o:o so silly as it literally took me about 20 minutes to do. All quite ridiculous the amount I worried over it all.

Had hoped for a NSD today but DS's fan stopped working so popped and bought him a new one for £11.99.

Trying to get cleaned and tidied up because I have my nephew staying over for the weekend.

That's the sort of thing I do, spend all night worrying about something small! Glad you got it sorted.

    Have a good weekend :)

    Thanks Jwil.

This week is flying by. A nice but tiring weekend having my nephew to stay. He was wonderfully behaved. Used to have him a lot when he was a baby but not as much now he's in a nursery. My brother left some money so we all enjoyed swimming, eating out and as he's train mad, a trip on the local tourist steam train.

Tried to keep costs to a minimum this week, went back swimming and have done lots of walks after work. Met friends yesterday at a free fun day at the woods, DD had great fun catching up with her friend who she only gets to see in the holidays.

DS had a meeting today so dropped DD off at my sisters. Through the NHS he has counselling but he has never really clicked with the man and he always missed the same lessons at school when he went. Was quite awkward but we've agreed he won't be going there anyway but we can always ring if needed. He still has his private counseller who he gets on well with and I have sorted him out a mentor at school for year 11, his favourite drama teacher which I hope will help too.

Had a letter today to say another of the debts has been sold on. The one left that hasn't is the only debt I had in my name to the catalogue and we owe about £80 on that now. We are thinking of asking stepchange to extend our payment break as DH is struggling at work as his hand has been very painful where is is doing too much. He's finished early a few times and with pyhsio each week, his wages are going to take a hit for a while yet. Will see what they say :o

I'm missing my best friend terribly! Know it might seem silly but things don't seem right when she's not around :o. Slimming tonight and I've lost another pound so 10lb 1/2 off so far.
