    Happy anniversary Mamanl!

Congratulations and commiserations (thank goodness for autocorrect on that one) to all as appropriate.

3lb off for me last week, although I don't know how.

Was expecting an alcohol free week this week as I was away with a non drinker at the weekend but my OH (without much effort) persuaded me to go to the pub on Friday night. Also had a very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed chocolate brownie on Saturday so what I was hoping to be another really good week may not end up so.

I must be one of the oldest on here - we've been married 47 years now - although we married less than 4 months after we met! We were given 6 months by our parents, how wrong they were!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich
L - jacket potato; tuna mayo & salad
D - LO gammon, chips, beans; followed by strawberries, raspberries & quark

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - spread 2; LTL mayo 1

Need to keep syns low as only have 18.5 syns for today until Wednesday!

Well done to all the losers and happy anniversary Maman

Been offline for a few days again. Went away overnight over the weekend, and with 7 meals out this week I'm not very hopeful for tomorrows weigh in. Also on countdown for holiday so not in a staying on plan mood but going to try. Going early hours Friday morning for a week, and lots to do before then including hospital for me today, and for daughter tomorrow.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
Lunch - ham and cucumber in a wrap (I had not much in fridge)
    Dinner - risotto
Snacks - fruit, SF jelly, cereal bars

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - wrap
Syns - SF jelly, cereal bars and some in risotto

    Roast beef yum yum

Lovely but I would need loads of gravy and some roasties......
Think that's where I go wrong, gravy and other sauces.

Think that's where I go wrong, gravy and other sauces.

Have you tried the SW onion gravy? Recipe below:

    2 white onions, finely chopped
    3 red onions, sliced
    1 garlic clove, finely chopped
    1 heaped tsp tomato pur!e
    1 tsp balsamic vinegar
    1 beef stock cube
    Method

Spray a large non-stick pan with low calorie cooking spray and gently fry the white onions until soft or microwave for 2 minutes on full power. Blend until smooth adding a drop of water, if needed, this will make it a little easier. Remove from pan and set aside.
Fry the red onions in the pan and cook until browned.
Return the pur!ed white onion to the pan and add the garlic, tomato pur!e, balsamic vinegar, stock cube and 100ml of water. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes and season to taste. If you want a thinner sauce add more water.

If you don't want onions in the gravy just blend the whole lot at the end. I love this, far better than gravy granules!
