Jacket potatoes are great batch cooked, crisp in oven as usual.
Allow to go cold then wrap individually in cling film, freeze.
They can then be unwrapped and cooked in microwave from frozen in 5 mins.
I saw this on someone's cook programme, great for a quick meal.
Thanks curl girl for the info. Will definitely give it a go when I get back from my long holiday in September. They'd definitely be a quick meal if they only take 5 minutes to reheat from frozen. Do they stay crispy when they're reheated? If not, then I'll probably stick to doing them in my combo microwave - only takes 18 minutes to do crispyish potatoes.
Well done Sky on being our SOTW.
I jumped on the scales this morning and amazingly it looks like I'm only just out of top end of target! Undecided whether I'm going to WI on Thursday - will decide Thursday morning after I've jumped on the scales again:rotfl:.
Another good day today:
B - 20g Honey Monster cereal 3.5 syns; milk from HEA
L - pea and ham soup (using some of the stock from cooking the gammon joint yesterday - very nice it was too!)
D - cold gammon, chips, beans, pickled onions, HM syn free red onion chutney; grapes, quark, mini meringue (1 syn)
Was peckish mid morning so used my HEB to have a large slice of toast with marmite - 2 syns for butter.
HEA - 350ml skimmed milk
HEB - 1 large slice bread
Syns - Honey Monster cereal 3.5; butter 2; mini meringue 1.
Am trying to stick to less than 10 syns a day to reign back in from holiday overeating and over indulging in alcohol LOL!

Sorry been a little AWOL again. School holidays, so totally out of routine, and lots of days off and stuff.
Managed a 1lb gain last week (Sorry late for the chart Chris). Could have been worse, but now just a day away from next weigh in, and another not great week.
Managed to catch up on the thread. Well done to all the losers, and hugs for the gainers and sts'ers. Well done Sky on SOTW, and thank you Chris for the chart.
Happy belated birthday Lush. Hope you had a good day
Hope you are okay now after your fall Beanie. Take care of yourself.
Sunshine, I knew what a lat was. Not sure about Beanie's shoogle though.
Arkers, welcome back.
Tete, I find frozen quiche wet too. Reheating does help, but not totally. Unfortunately it is one of those things better fresh.
Thanks god, I thought I was posting on a forum which does not speak English:D:D:D:D

You can have the wine and cake....I love cheese.... really love it.
Crackers, brie and bramble coulis..... yummy:D:D:D

Weigh in for me this evening. Not at all confident, as gone over on syns, but soooooooo much body magic. Actually will be getting my gold body magic tonight.
Bit of a weird one for food this week. Daughter away with grandparents, and hubby and I making most of being child free, and both have lots on in the evenings, we are eating separate, so cooking for one this week. Means I can be selfish and eat what I like and hubby doesn't, hence prawns yesterday evening and todays lunch and salmon tonight
Today's plan:
Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
Lunch - prawn noodles, leftovers from last night
Dinner - Salmon stir fry
Snacks - sf jelly, fruit, cereal bars
HA - milk
HB - cereal bars
syns - sf jelly (0.5), sweet chili sauce (2), honey (1)Zebras rock0 -

Well lesson learnt there then. Two more portions in the freezer to use up and I'll be sure to heat them.
Thanks Chris for the chart and congrats on SOTW Sky!!
Well done on your Gold award tonight Kathryn - that will be doing wonders for your health even if medication and food restrictions are slowing down your losses.
I've now finished work and am a bit of a lady of leisure for the moment. I kept telling myself before I finished that I'd do the early bird swim on a morning to set me up for the day but it hasn't happened yet... going to do a bit of 'deforestation' today ready for tomorrow morning :rotfl:
Today:
B - Granola and FF yog
D - Tuna pasta bake (2)
T - Salmon, tomatoes, spring onion, fine beans and hasselback potatoes
HEA - Milk
HEB - Granola
Syns - Cheese in pasta bake (2), coconut oil (2), sugar in coffee (4) = 8
I made my pasta bake last night with FF cottage cheese and FF fromage frais instead of quark which I can't bear, and it was actually rather tasty so that's another batch cooking possibility opened up to me!
Have a lovely day all, I'm off to hang some washing out now it's stopped raining.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
