  • Evening, just checking in to report

    1.5 off

    This week :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

    Weight loss 3 stone :D

I'm reporting a 3.5lb loss this week (well, over the last two weeks really).

Well done to all the losers and STS and good luck to anyone who has gained.

    Have a good day. :)
    2022. 2% MF challenge. £730/3000
  • Sorry Maman I forgot to say gravy was lovely but I don't know if hubby made it as per the recipe ....I was entertaining mum! I think he added the wine as well.

SSM - boring is an understatement.

I wasn't feeling in the right headspace last night so I didn't weigh in. Either tonight or tomorrow, or I just skip a week.... first time I'll have ever done that, but I'll live.

That's great. Well done to you all!:T:T:T

You're doing ever so well as a target member bubbs:T. Ross on Wye is an attractive place. Will you be travelling around or just staying there?

Sorry to hear you've had a fall beanie. Hope you're not hurting too much.:)

I portioned up pork burgers for the freezer last night. I made 12 quarter pounders with the YS pork.:money:

The cupboards (or mainly the fridge and veg rack) are looking bare so must do my meal planning and shop today. I'm going to make the sausage casserole that our girls liked when they were young. The recipe doesn't have much Speed (onion and mushrooms) so I'll try and add some more like courgettes or peppers.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Weetabix, HEA milk, red berries
L: JP with cottage cheese, pickled cabbage and gherkins
    D: sausage casserole with tagliatelle
    Syns: weekend wine!:j

Maman - sorry I haven't replied this was the one https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/slow-cooker-pot-roast ....definitely a keeper!

Tete - we had the son down for lunch so we had no chance of having seconds!

Sirens - I'm glad the funeral went as well as can be expected & I know the feeling of trying to be good only to go completely the other way ...though I would have had the whole french stick - that sort of bread is my krynonite still.

We're not going away now - I have to go to site tomorrow so, on the positive side will have another 24 hrs before weigh in but on the negative side there will be no kitchen facilities so will have to run the gauntlet of passing McDonalds on the way home.

Made a curry at 6.30am yesterday for yesterday's tea but use a jar (yes I know - hangs head in shame) but in my defence I froze half of it so had effectively 1/4 of the syns. Would love to try a SW curry recipe but I'm just not organised enough to marinate the meat!

Choir is back tonight but am going to try and eat before I go so that I'm not eating late.....what though I don't know yet!

You could always put your meat in a freezer bag with marinade when you have time and freeze it until a later date. If making in slow cooker can add frozen or defrosted, nalthough I much prefer to defrost and brown a bit beore cooking.

Having a good time, weather not too bad, has been cloudy mornings and brightening up late morning. Evening meals are SW friendly but not much else, just hope I don't put on too much weight whilst away as will only have about 5 days to shift what I can on return.
