Well it's 2239 and I've just put on another episode of ER...will I ever learn? Although om not tired and I still have a cup of tea so...

Husband went for a check up at the dentist earlier and spent £36 as they did an x ray and filling there and then.

What was I just saying about it being never ending??

Tea, my son's taekwon do class teaches about stranger danger, how to safely get out of a fire, how to best deal with bullying etc. It's not just the discipline of the sport, which is always great.

    A couple of good things:

    1. With my husband being on night shift this week and using the van (i.e. no commute) we're not using much fuel at all this week. His car hasn't moved since Friday and I just run back and forth to school/ nursery. A little fuel saving goes a long way!

    2. My son really wants to join a French class so I've found one that I think could fit into our schedule. I'd need to cancel or change one of his days at after school club so will need to explore that and talk to my husband about it. I've emailed the leader about the cost and whether we can start straight away (it's currently mid-term) so will see if all that comes together soon. The smile on his face when i told him this morning that I found a class was lovely.

    thank you.

Thanks for your comment, although I really feel like I'm flopping from one thing to the next most of the time!

I just use Prolific Academic, Qmee and Shoppix at the moment (sometimes OnePoll when I remember) although I'm not really that great at keeping up with them. If you find Scott Weiland's diary, he is all over the surveys. Best of luck!

My husband's wages were paid in ON TIME today!! :T:eek::j:beer:

Not only that, but he miraculously remembered that his first night shift was Sunday night which means that technically it should be in today's wage packet. Which means I've managed to shuffle £200 into the savings account :j Hoping for another £300 extra next week (although still not counting those chickens just yet).

What a turn up for the books!

Tea, you can stop holding your breath now :rotfl:

Phew, have to say I was going a bit blue in the face :rotfl: I have decided I'm your lucky charm :D I'm not actually sure I can remember reading this happening before, although I'm sure it has. The extra money is definitely not be sniffed at is it.

I love that your son has asked to attend French lessons, is it done through school? DD used to do drama. It was a private company but they came into school which made it easier as it was just tagged onto the end of her school day.

I know everybody loves George Clooney and Noah Wyle but I have to confess to having quite a soft spot for Anthony Edwards who played Mark Greene. Ooh just looked up what he looks like now. Not sure I feel quite the same about him :o

    Have a lovely evening. xx

You can come back on here every Tuesday and hold your breath in the hope my husband is paid in time :) The extra money is great when he's on night shift and it's so worth the upheaval. Plus it doesn't come that often so he takes it when he can.

The old me would be wondering what I could splash that extra cash on, but i swiftly moved it into the savings account and looking forward to seeing it all building up for our holidays.

My son's French lessons are a small class run at a place about 15 miles from where we live. I'd love it if it was a school class though! Much more convenient! It's on a Saturday afternoon after two swimming classes and two separate martial arts classes so we will all be exhausted by the end of Saturday. He's going to go in to try it out so we'll see what he thinks. He wants to be able to talk to people on holiday so i'm really keen to encourage language learning. It's good for the young brain :)

Husband is footballing so ER is back on now the cleaning up has been done and kids are in bed. Annnnnd.....relax.

I have a soft spot for Mark Greene too - John Carter is still a little boy in series 2, but maybe as it goes on he'll be more manly! haha It's so dated though... makes me smile when I see some of the things that remind me of the 90s!
