Ooh, forgot to mention. I cashed out £3.76 from Qmee which I sent to CC and overpaid £100 to CC since it's a no council tax month. The other £147 from council tax was squirreled away into our savings account.

I'm doing the pay of your debt by 2019 this year and my goal is 10k. Including my payments today, I'm at £954.92 so far, 9.5% which I'm pretty pleased with for January!

I also meant to say, I got 200 points for referral this morning teafor2 so thanks for thinking of it!

Blimey HG and Abba I'm sat here aghast at somebody wanting to be in your houses for that long, but then I suppose they need to justify their high costs  Just asked hubby how long ours took to measure up, we've got 8 windows, a front door, and french doors and he said he wasn't here much longer than 30 minutes.

Good luck with your 10k goal, I have no doubt you'll pull it off. :)

Glad you got the points, thanks for the heads up to the site. x

I think it's just all the sales bullsh!T tea - they want to stay as long as possible to grind you down onto submission. A weaker person would just sign on the dotted line to get them to leave. Its so wrong. I dread to think how much money they have conned out of people.

Now I've got this idea in my head, I can't stop thinking about it and playing with the figures. My husband is going to text his friend tomorrow to arrange a day/ time for them to measure up and see the place. Once we have a figure we will know whether we can afford it.

£1.50 was liberated from my husband's coin tray and deposited in my sealed pot tonight :)

Ooh, that cost stings but I suppose if it helps your hubby to function then that's the way it's got to be.

Really hoping I don't get up to snow in the morning! I actually love the snow but not when I have places to be and public transport to use!

  • Love how your highlights and lowlights are linked :)

I must admit free treats are hard for me to resist.

Where there's a high, there's often a low DIA. Those biscuits were definitely a high even with the headache!

The fact that they, the lunch and the fruit basket were free was a delight. Plus it means I have lunch prepared now until Thursday (ham and lentil soup). Just Friday to sort out with either wraps or wholemeal pitta stuffed with whatever is in my fridge.

Chocolate biscuits and finishing work early, sounds a perfect day to me. :)

Your loan and childcare payment numbers look brilliant. It must give you a real psychological boost looking at them, especially the loan one which will be in single figures before you know it.

Blimey, ER. That brings back memories. DD watches Friends which is another programme that makes me think about the good old days :D Have a lovely evening. x

Ah, I love Friends and watch episodes most days! My friends have all banged on about ER over the years and I have never watched it. I'm almost finished Season 1 and it's a nice watch when the husband is out as it's not his cup of tea.

You're right, seeing the numbers really is a boost! Less than a year to go on a loan - the home stretch indeed.

Hope you have a fab evening too teafor2.

Hilariously (not really), I was paid early and my husband hasn't been paid yet and it's now late! Will he ever consistently be paid on time? It's also looking like his night shifts have been delayed/ cancelled...just awaiting more info. It's as clear as mud, as per usual with everything last minute.
