    Good morning all!

Hope Wednesday is treating you well?

    Money news
    1. My life insurance has gone up, which was apparently triggered by my last birthday (which took me into a new decade) from £8.60 to £9.20!!:eek::eek: haha
    2. Son is starting TKD twice per week which means our DD goes up by £10 p//m
    3. Son #2 is joining TKD so £35 cost per month, but because he's a sibling of a current member, it will be £25 p/m
    4. My husband should be getting paid for an additional job that he did the other week - £500. £200 will go to the credit card to clear the cost of materials and I'm hoping that we can put just £200 aside for the stag weekend my husband is going on in a couple of weeks and we can put £100 into either the savings account or overpay into the CC. I'm trying to not go wild with overpaying until we have a strong pot of cash for spending money for holidays and for kicking off the windows.
    5. A few more DDs have come out but nothing major. Bank accounts are looking good for now.

    Health
I was not kind to myself last night...
    1. I went to bed after midnight, woke up at 5am when my husband got home and was up at 7am
    2. I ate chocolate biscuits last night...yes, plural. Many.
    3. I did not drink enough water.
    4. I did not move enough yesterday - very sedentary.

And I wonder why I'm feeling sluggish today? Must do better!

    Other news
    1. Must get a shift on with the house - a lot has fallen by the wayside this week and i need to up my game. Plan before lunchtime - put white washing on and hang up, do the few dishes lying, put all dry clothes away (spare room is looking like a laundrette!). Then I can figure out the rest later!

    2. Window man (as he will henceforth be known :rotfl:) is coming one evening next week to measure up. Then we'll get a price and will be able to decide whether we can afford to move forward with it and get him booked in.

I agree you were not kind to yourself yesterday. I am rubbish at drinking water but I repurposed a vintage decanter to use for water. (I saw this in a posh cafe and I am copying them)

Anyway, do better today I know you will ;)

Did you go on the spa day or did I miss that?

I did go for my treatments DIA - a full body swedish massage and an hour-long facial. It was utter bliss but I did so much running around before it and after it that it totally wiped out the relaxation that I felt. It was still lovely though :)

You're right, i will do better today. I have a water bottle that holds 900ml and I'm just refilling it so one down.

Love the idea of a vintage decanter :) I do have a lovely glass decanter that was gifted to me and I've never used so I think I might think of the best way to use that to encourage water drinking.

    Morning HG. :)

It's amazing how organised you are with everything from short term goals to longer ones. And all while running a household and looking after a family. :T

We'll have to agree to disagree about the chocolate biscuits. I consider I'm being very kind to myself when I eat them :rotfl: I have good days and bad days with water, but could definitely do with upping my intake as well.

Watched a film last night with Sheila Hancock in about climbing a mountain. She was 83 when she filmed it and was riding a mountain bike, rowing a boat and hiking across pretty rough terrain. I felt knackered watching her and I'm 3 decades younger. Can't decide whether she inspired me or made me feel worse than I already do some days :o

Fingers crossed the window man comes up with some figures that are acceptable to you. Have a good day. xx

That's so annoying! I managed to find somewhere to watch it so am addicted at the moment! I'm about half way through Season 2 :) It takes the edge off the Grey's Anatomy withdrawl :rotfl:

I know! I was less than impressed!!!

    I can't wait for Grey's to come back, it's tonight isn't it?

That would be nice Monz - hope your boy gets back into it soon when he recovers.

Tea, I don't feel all that organised but I do have a lot going on with work on top of general family life so I need yo remember to give myself a break sometimes. I'm lucky to have a helpful husband :)

Kindofagilr- I don't know when it's back! I've only watched one since the mid season break and decided to wait until the end of the series to binge watch the rest. I hate waiting a week between episodes.

    Hi HG

Just caught up with your diary since Christmas and wow you're doing amazingly well. Surveys or lack of them drive me mad too:mad: do they not know I'm long term sick from work and need the distraction.

I'm the same thinking we'll have a quiet month but then something creeps up (normally child related) and the budget needs tweaking. I plan our budgets 3monrhs at at a time on a spreadsheet sbd have mot, big bills etc pencilled in. It's the little extra like £10 here and there for school stuff that catches me out.

Thanks for stopping by Choccy! You're right about those surveys! These students/ researchers need to get their act together and help us out :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets caught out with random expenses every month. There's just always something to pay for!
