BT price increases September 2018

Those that are getting it for less are in a position to bargain with BT .You want low prices then you have to be very proactive .
Key is how long is left on your current contract .
Not sure if the offer is still valid after 30 days .0 -
Has anyone got 21.99 recently?
I just tried to make several calls and the best I could get on my parents/brothers accounts were £23.99/month..
I asked them to leave an note saying this was offered on the account..
In July when I asked my options was offered an upgrade from bt bb basic fo superfast fibre essential up to 38 mbs for the same price £21.99. I phoned a few weeks later and ask about the offer of free bt sports on sky platform and got this added for free for 18 months. I read a few members got cheaper than that but am happy with the price. I also got a free smart hub he told I had to pay for the postage which I agree but when I got my bill there was no postage to be paid.0 -
Annoyingly in contract until march next year.
But I think it'll be cheaper to pay the extra 2.50 for 7 months then switch or at least threaten to, than to renew at current offered price of £32.49 for another 18 months.0 -
I am curious, has anyone one who negotiated a new deal with B.T had a September Bill yet. Did it stay at the new agreed price or did it show the £2.50 increase. I am due my first bill tomorrow, if they get their website running by then.0

I know mine will show the increase ... I've already detailed in this thread why so I'm not going over it again.0

Just been offered a free month worth £38.99 from the Exec level complaints team. Wonder if i could push for a smart hub??? Hmmmm!!!
Wasn't in this for any gain but they're not getting away with that constant level of CS!!!
I value my time more than they seem to......just want them to get things right and the service to work as it should!!!0 -

That’s my house sorted, will still keep an eye on my son's flat and our let flat, when their next bills appear later on in September. Hoping they are as agreed too.0 -
Should be no increase until 16th September .0

Yes but as the phone/broadband is paid in advance, in my case the billing period on my bill is 28th August to 27th of September and amount due £21.99,they even refunded £2.59 as my newer rate began on the 8th of August.0

Thanks all. I managed to get £21.99 on both lines for line rental and BT Infinity 1. Helps if you quote the current TalkTalk offers listed on MSE as a comparision and are prepared to move your line!0
