It’s pay day today so I’ve updated YNAB this morning and sent £100 to the car maintenance pot and £100 to the gifts account.Another £50 has gone to the mortgage as an overpayment, I should be able to make another overpayment in a few weeks when June’s CTC and CB hits the account. I’m also hoping to be able to add another £100 - £200 to the savings on top of the regular £100 that gets spread across the 3 accounts every month.
I’ve taken a couple of days off work to so that DS and I can have fun without me being tethered to a laptop in the daytime. He’s at his Dad’s again from later today and I’m already dreading him going. We has a lovely day yesterday though and am planning on much the same for today.

I'm struggling today after waking up in a real state of anxiety and upset after a bad dream. Feeling really quite lonely today and have that old feeling of dread, thinking about the future, like I used to get a few years back. I'm looking forward to bedtime already so that I can tick today off.
I've sent a £20 overpayment to the mortgage today and the standing orders for both help to save and premium bonds have left the account, so that's another £75 to the savings. I've been doing a bit of work this morning and have also got some belgian buns baking in the oven, so trying to keep busy.

You seem to be having a difficult time. Sending hugs ((((hugs)))) XX
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy3 -
Thank you for the hugs Chrystal, they're much appreciated. xxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Sorry for the AWOLness, I have been here, but just not feeling like posting at the moment. I've not been well (not CV) which resulted in me not seeing DS for ten days just to be on the safe side and to protect him. I had him back for a coupe of days and now he has gone to his Dad's again so I am missing him and feeling a bit like a spare part at the moment. I have also had more problems with the ex which have worn me down a little more.
I'm still keeping the finances in order, although there is very little in the bank until the CB and TC is paid next week and I've just had to fork out over £100 on car repairs. No chance of anything extra going to the savings or mortgage for a little while.
I've also spent more money this month on a few things - some learning resources for DS as I really need to ramp up the home learning with him, he is struggling with some basics which aren't really being covered by the online school stuff. I also bought myself a new swimsuit as mine had see through patches, holes and was indecent! I'm hoping to get to some local lakes and the sea for a bit of a swim soon. I'm a water baby and swimming/being in the water is my wellbeing go-to.
The dawning realisation that I may not be able to see my parents and my family this year has been creeping up on me and I'm feeling really quite upset about it. It's been 4 months since we saw them. My Mum is so vulnerable and her health so poor that even if lockdown is completely lifted and we are able to travel the long distance to see them, it would be putting them both at risk by doing so. There's also the constant worry that she may not be able to fight much longer with the problems she's dealing with anyway and whether we ever see her again. I'm trying to be upbeat for them when I speak to then every day but it's becoming increasingly difficult not to break down when talking to them. Unfortunately there is no chance of internet/smart devices with them either, they just can't handle it, so we're not even 'seeing' them at the moment either.
Today, work have informed me that I'm unlikely ever to return to an office and will be working from home permanently. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful to still have my job at the moment, but apart from OH, my colleagues are literally the only other adults I have much contact with and most of them weren't even very sociable, but at least it was a chat with someone else. I have one good friend who lives locally and whom I saw regularly before this, but she is moving hundreds of miles away soon. I can't see the future being particularly bright at the moment.
Just as another little kick in the bits today, a house that I had stupidly set my heart on, despite mine not being sold yet, has been sold. DS saw me looking at it online one day and he also loved it. In my head, I'd pretty much moved us in and had made plans for the garden. I knew this would happen and I know there will be other houses, but thinking of us with that as our new home was giving me something to look forward to. Stupid, I know.

Just for information in case it's useful. My DD bought a full PPE kit so she could visit my DGS on his birthday and give him a hug. I can ask where she got it from if it's of use to visit your mum.All that clutter used to be money2
