Mine increased which I was expecting, and the past two years the renewal had all the details of hubby's pay from hmrc so no need to wait for a p60. I have filed my tax return so just waiting for the renewal to come so I can check the figures and hit the OK button. I went on early April and updated my estimated se income and what I should earn from my paye job (as long as I get to keep it anyway) and hubby had a small increase, so I know it's all up to date and trust the payments. Having theonline account is so much better than calling them.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Thank you both, that’s reassured me it’s not an error then! In that case, the plan at the moment will be to raise the premium bond standing order to £100 a month (currently £25), and pay an extra £50 per month off the mortgage... although I might change my mind and just stash it all away to build up the savings. I’d like to eventually build up a savings pot of at least £10K. I’m aware that my car is getting older (currently 6 years old) and I would like enough in the bank to replace it when I have to, which will hopefully be some years away yet.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Lol at your old car. My last one was purchased at 10yrs old and made it to 17! My one now is nearly 11yrs old. The outside isn't brilliant (bit of a dent, scratches etc) but it is serviced every year and I keep on top of that. It should last another 5yrs and by then I can downsize. Can't wait for that.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Another £25 has gone to the emergency fund savings, no overpayments to speak of unfortunately as the bills account is almost empty, thankfully the CB is paid on Monday and the CTC on Wednesday.I picked up a big click and collect order a couple of days ago which cost just over £70 which, to me, is a massive grocery spend. I can’t even say I got a lot for my money, I really didn’t feel like I did. I’m certainly noticing the increase in price of everything since lockdown started. I probably could have got it quite a bit cheaper By going to Aldi or somewhere myself but I find shopping really stressful these days and am trying to avoid supermarkets and obviously limiting going out to absolute essentials only.
This morning Is ve planned meals for the week and the second load of washing is in the machine, first is on the line, drying. I’m hoping the weather stays on my side until the washing’s dry today as it’s looking a bit grey every so often at the moment.
I’m feeling rather glum about everything presently, hopefully I’ll cheer up a bit in the next few days. I’m tired and feeling rubbish at the moment as I’ve fallen off the diet wagon and have been eating everything in sight which never helps my mood. I’ve logged my calories for today though so will try and keep it up for the rest of the week too.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

CB has been paid so I’ve shuffled some money around and topped up both the car and gifts pots.
Another £25 premium bond has been purchased so there’s £800 in that account now, total savings of £3375, next goal is to get it up to £5K.Tough day yesterday with DS ending up in paediatric A&E and me nearly passing out on him in shock - more blood than I’ve ever seen in one place at one time and one of those ‘single parent, have to deal with this alone, what do I do if something goes wrong’ moments. He’s home and fine today, hopefully today’s a better day.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Oh no, glad he is OK. And you.
Well done on the premium bonds, you have prompted me to open an account and buy £1000 worth. This was money I saved for solicitors costs for a house move which may not happen now. It was in a savings account earning pennies, so figured may as well put them in bonds with a small chance of a win. Am going to try and add to them once I am properly back at work.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -
