I’d definitely recommend the H2S if you qualify Moguline, there is a 50% ‘bonus’ after time so better than any interest from a bank account. £50 is the max you can pay in monthly though.
Thank you for the raincoat tip off Drawingaline, I’ll take a look at that today. XMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

I sent an overpayment of £25 to the mortgage a few days ago. I’m really trying to get the mortgage down into the £102k’s before next payday. It’s going to be very difficult but I’ll try.
I sold a top on eBay for just over £11 which I bought in a charity shop a while back, but didn’t fit me. I need to pack and sort postage for that today as well as a return which will be a £7 refund. I’m also planning on sending the tops I bought for my Mum for her birthday/Christmas to her this week instead. Yet more horrible occurrences this past week highlighted how very poorly she is and how time is so limited. I am so very sad. I got very distressed about it all one evening in the week and i’m Not entirely sure how I managed to drive home from work.
The ex is proving his worthiness as the EX this week and has turned a very straightforward issue concerning DS around into being all about himself (the ex) again. A huge row ensued last night after he made yet more false accusations and did his usual trick of lying through his teeth to make me look bad whilst obviously having the audience of his girlfriend whilst on the phone to me. Needless to say, I went to bed crying and upset last night. He is such a self-centred, arrogant liar. He is making it so it’s impossible to discuss anything about DS with him. I don’t need this atm. I wish he would just grow up and put DS before himself for once.:mad::mad:
Saying that, DS and I have had a lovely morning. We are still in our PJ’s and have made croissants and have snuggled up with a movie. The outside world can s0d off this morning.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Sorry to read about the ex. If he is being difficult, can you request that arrangements be communicated only by text. Might save you the pain of a conversation with an audience.

Unfortunately the whole episode with the ex the other night started with a text message. A very considered line or two from myself (considered, as I watch how I phrase things as he manages to twist everything:mad:) regarding a bit of an issue that has arisen for DS was somehow taken in a completely skewed fashion by the ex and I got a huge essay, protesting at how I was somehow blaming him for the issue (I absolutely was not, I was trying to come up with a solution to help DS between us) and then he completed his text with poorly disguised accusations. I then phoned him to try and talk through things rationally but that obviously escalated. I have a feeling he’d had a drink, which didn’t help matters.
He has only been like this since he’s been with his girlfriend. Before that we got on fairly amicably and were able to work together for DS. I’m not blaming the gf as I really like her, but I don’t know what has gone on there so that his attitude towards me is so disgusting permanently now. If only the girlfriend knew about his lying and cheating she’d understand why I don’t trust a word he says.
It’s just such a shame for DS. I always try to treat his Dad as family when he’s here and to be as upbeat as I can for DS’s sake, but his Dad’s attitude towards me gets worse every time and I cannot keep taking that sh*t from him for absolutely no reason. From now on, it’s minimal contact and if he can’t be civil and polite to me in MY own home then he will not be welcomed in.
Sorry, rant over!

Big thanks to Drawingaline for the sports direct/raincoat tip off, I have bought myself one for £14.99 tonight after taking a look online, so thank you x
I also bought DS some trainers, jeans, joggers and loads of socks, and myself a new swimsuit for under £10 as my old one needs replacing, plus a pair of casual shoes, a pair of boots, a jumper, pants and a warm duffle coat. This is a big BIG spend on clothes for me, it came to £130 with delivery, but Ithink I have more than got my money”s worth. I went through TCB too, so should have around £5 back from there. This has, i’m afraid, gone on a 0% credit card I have taken out after thinking long and hard about it. A new pot has been set up in my account which will go towards paying that off ASAP.
If I bottle it and get scared about having the cc debt then there is plenty of money in the EF to pay it off instantly.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Glad to be of help. I do find their delivery a little expensive so do try and get my moneys worth! And I actually live 2mins from asda (can see it fr my house) so the fact they deliver there is a bonus! I feel they are fab for some stuff, it's normally end of line and I am not a fan of the branded stuff, but for hoodie, trainers/walking shoes, tracksuits stuff for the older boy they are good. The costs are random, real mix of prices, and I got some lovely linen trousers last summer!
Sorry to hear that the ex is being....... Well, I can't really write the words.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
Thank you drawingaline. Yes, the delivery is rather expensive but, as you said, hopefully the savings made will make up for that.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16
