The packaging doesn't provide any clues either
I'll bet it does.0 -

I said I was tempted because the bloke is a tool and a liar. I haven't at any point said I was going to keep them. Right from the start I have said morally I know they should be returned, and i asked for peoples thoughts on itWith proof of delivery? A pretty easy small claims win.
Calls someone a liar whilst talking about telling a lie.........sighBrookside88 wrote: »Ok. What's the relevance of this?

I said from the beginning I know I have to send them back. A theoretical question does not mean I ever intended to keep them! I never once said I intended to keep them, I said I was tempted.
Jesus wept. Do some people just lurk around here with the intention of being rude and uppity?
I've already emailed him and asked for a return label
Have you got nothing better to do?0 -

So explain the purpose of the thread then?
There seems no dilemma to me,its you who see's one.0 -
The purpose was to understand if this practice is allowed by eBay, whether it was worth me complaining about it to eBay, and what would happen if I denied all knowledge. The seller knows I have the item, there's no dispute about that.
I probably worded my original question wrongly but it's quite clear from my posts on this thread that I don't intend to keep them. You made your point previously which answered the question so why you felt the need to go into questions about what courier was used I don't understand. I'm not fully aware of the codes that are used on postage labels and I'm sure many other people aren't either.
As it stands, I've emailed the seller, he still hasn't responded so they're still in their packaging and will be kept safe until such a time as I do hear something back
I may also speak to eBay to get their opinion which somebody else has suggested.0 -
You could ask Amazon to collect/issue a returns label for the item.
I took in a parcel for a neighbour once, and a week later, having tried several times a day to get hold of said neighbour I contacted Amazon. They were able to reference the details on the parcel to find the original order, and were going to sort things out with my neighbour.
When Amazon get the item back they'll presumably automatically refund the original order, which is what would've happened if the delivery was refused.0 -

This all sounds like a very complicated plan. OP has made an attempt to contact seller to arrange for them to retrieve their item, personally I would now keep the item safe and wait for any further contact. I would not be putting myself out for a seller that can't be bothered to respond to an email.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
