Ebay Dilemma - what would you do?

I'm quite hacked off at what he's done because he's misled me and blatantly tried to rip me off (and many others I presume). Saying I'm tempted to keep them and actually keeping them are 2 very different things. I'm tempted to throttle my partner sometimes but that doesn't mean I would
I'm happy to send them back but he'll need to pay for postage. If I did keep them then I would offer him 14.99 which is what he paid, not the 27.99 he changed me originally
Thanks for your input
In what way did the seller try to rip you off?
Do you think when you by a loaf in Tesco that Tesco paid the same as they are charging you? In fact buying any item on ebay do you expect people to sell at no profit?
You either pay what you agreed to pay or send them back0 -

By misleading me by saying delivery would be 23-25 may. Which is why I was happy to pay the extra. In fact I ended up paying 35 to get them on time
My issue is that he marked them as despatched on the 20th of may knowing full well they wouldn't arrive until 19-20 June and then changed the description to say pre-order
He's been suspended from eBay so clearly he's rubbed somebody up the wrong way0 -

And to answer this point, no of course they don't because they have overheads such as marketing, staff, rent etc. This guy hasn't come into contact with this product, all he had done is placed an order with Amazon on my behalf based on a falsified delivery date. My issue is not the price, it's the misrepresentation of the delivery date. I was prepared to pay over the odds for earlier delivery from the start0 -

You mention 'suspended' do you mean that the seller's ID shows as not a registered user? If so he's probably had too many late defects .
If so just send him one message now asking him for a pre paid label for the safe return of the unwanted items and keep them safe so that return can be arranged.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. When I go into my purchases and click on the item its a blank page that says seller is suspended (on the app), on a PC it says "we've searched high and low but can't find this listing".
When I click his username it says "no longer a registered user" in red next to his name. No option to message him.
He has great feedback so he must be under investigation or something.
I've just re-looked at the email I got this morning as I assumed it was via ebay but it isn't, it's from his personal email so I'll email him on that and ask for a pre-paid label.
EDIT. not a personal email (@solutions4u.com)0 -
and he is (was) registered as a business seller0

If your issues isn't the price then why did you say you are prepared to pay what he paid?
Its called drop shipping, many 'businesses' do it, rather than hold stock they send direct from their supplier0 -

glentoran, this is not a complaint about drop shipping, the buyer brought a "pre-order" item which the seller claimed they could deliver prior to the time available from their supplier.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
