Was a guy on one of Trevor McD's programs who'd funded a (leased) pub 'empire' on credit cards - think he hit £250k before he went bust.0

After recent revelations regarding the huge discounts on offer to those taking part in the programme, I'm inclined to believe the art deco couple never had any intention of becoming property developers. She just wanted a slice of C4 half price discount at Porcelainosa.....0

That's the thing abou those houses - I wouldn't want them if they'd been on PL, imagine EVERYONE would have an opinion on what was done, would have seen around your house, would have an opinion on how much you paid, whether you were a fool.... it would be mind-numbing... I imagine with a £1million to spare I'd rather have a house that wasn't famous (famous in a kind of jade Goody way too)....0 -

I have often wondered why people go on the program. I did once see Sarah actually help the developer: when she found a berth for the houseboat. She also gave the guy good advice on the floorplan of the boat. It may be that she gives good advice all the time, but it usually looks as if she comes by and tells people things after they've already gotten too far in to mentally be able to change direction.
I guess some people really think that they're going to do such a fantastic job that the show can only help them. I've recently decided that everybody secretly thinks they have fabulous taste. :lol
The financial incentives - discounted materials - is probably another attraction, but I don't think everybody knows about that.:beer:0 -
