  • It was documented ages ago that the developers get stuff free or on the cheap - a kind of product placement - why do you think they always put in top of the range kitchens and sound systems!!

Perhaps in light of all the recent tele 'scandals' this is something which should be brought to the general publics attention!

They always look so glamorous and convincing but, as Christine Webb reports, some property renovation shows can be guilty of covering up more than an unfashionable fireplace

  • moneysavinmonkey- I am not being funny but you have just ruined everything. I cant believe I've been so naive!

I absolutely LOVE watching property ladder, homes under the hammer and Location x 3. I cant believe that the home staging, the product sourcing and even the budgetting is a fix  ...what's the point in even having the show if its all made up! arrgggghhhhh

p.s. on the flip side, next time I want to sell a property, I will definitely be telling potential buyers that "Channel 4 have asked to use my flat in their next series of Location x 3", just to keep the pressure up!

Stick with the C4 "doing stuff abroad" progs mate - they're dead kosher. I mean, millions of people make it big every year by starting a business they know nothing about in countries they know nothing about (and speaking the language as we all know is a major handicap) hardly surprising there's the odd camera around to record 0.001% of the successes is it?

Anyone ever see a property-!!!!!! TV prog where it doesn't all work out just before the next program is about to start..?
  • ManAtHome-that is one sarcastic post!! ;-)

Nothing can be as bad as '60 minute makeover'. Even I wasnt fooled by that!.....how can you paint/wallpaper a whole room, re-carpet, dismantle a bed, put up a flat pack wardrobe, an aquarium and a flat screen TV in under an hour!
