More importantly, who is going to buy it now its been on national TV and shown for the disaster it is?
I am sure anyone spending £1million will do a little research. Now they've near enough blown it.0 -
BrandNewDay-what about the man converting the church who put in a floor halfway across the windows?0

i only flipped on at the end to listen to the overspends but any idea how long its been since they did the tv program, i mean im guessing a couple of months and the interest on £850k has got to be brutal.0

Chiswick my ar*e
Chiswick village is the scrubby bit under the motorway next to all the council flats! Even the bits of Chiswick which are right next to Acton are nicer.
They are total morons....£1.3 m :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
And why did she not render the house, rather than just paint the bricks??0 -

They must be getting desperate to sell:rolleyes:0 -
My OH hates Property Ladder, although watched the first 10 mins after getting mesmorised by Beeny's cleavage!!
Where did that "developer" get her arrogance from?!? And why spend SO much money, then not even bother rendering the original building to blend it in?! And what sort of numpty thinks you base a house price on how much profit you want!?
If they want the £1.3M, they need to pick the whole "house" up and plonk it in a nicer area, because no one with that much money to spend would want to live there!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Well at least they gave the project a go, although they would have done better listening to Sarah's advice and split it up into 2 flats. If it was my house house I woiuld probably look at splitting it up into three flats.
What I don't understand about people with such big budgets is why they have to go on TV and reveal all the financial details of the project to the nation. Surely this will just hinder the sale? It's great for viewers, but that is all. It's certainly not very professional or business like.
I do however wish last nights couple sucess.0 -
I don't usually comment on these programmes: this house is a disaster: location, size of bedrooms, size of living room(s), price (), no potential for resale (no potential rise in value). They were extremely naive to say the least. Like someone else said, the interest payments must be killing them. I hope they have deep pockets and believe in wishful thinking. This series of PL is actually the most interesting because it was filmed (i think) as property prices were at least beginning to recede (unlike past series in which prices were rising).BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

I missed the very last bit of last nights programme, I saw that the dismal looking house (interior design  ) and saw it had been marketed for 1.3 million, but did it get any offers?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
