    Evening ladies!

Sorry to read that work situations are causing stress for some. I do wonder if employers realise the value of good, loyal workers until it's too late.

I've been to an afternoon tea party in Tewkesbury today and had great journeys there and back. I took Tiny (as DH and Small were at a football tournament, in which, they were reasonably successful, it appears!) and he ate his body weight in chocolate fudge brownies but has a whale of a time with his similarly-aged cousins.

I wanted Prosecco but was driving, so stuck to orange juice. :(

My (usually kind) brother made a tactless comment about my weight. Truthful, but hurtful, nonetheless. I am now researching calorie counts in various foods as the diet starts now.

I'm going to be such a miserable bat without my sugar fix...

I spent most of yesterday huddled in front of my laptop, but am now feeling very proud of myself because I have successfully created and edited the group vlog - I even added music for the opening and closing titles. Not perfect by any means, but not bad for a beginner! Fortunately, what matters for the mark is not the lack of technical skill but how we as a group get our message over. DH likes it and understands it, anyway :)

This morning I am going to the big city centre, to support some of my fellow-students as they say goodbye to college and move on. This afternoon I need to do some reading, so will dust off the reclining garden chairs. [NB: Dusting is flying!]

Hope you had good journeys yesterday, Honey Bear.

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all in need. Hope everyone has a refreshing Sunday xx

    Morning everyone

Not up so early this morning - but bed is made, I'm washed & dressed, WM is sloshing the first load of the day, and the fact that I'm here means that I intend to flutter, if not fly exactly. (Didn't sleep well, so feeling a little jaded - if you see my mojo please send it home :o)

    Round 1 =
    1. Feed the birds / refill bird bath
    2. Put out recycling
    3. WUDUPA a bowl of pots
    4. Hang out WM x1 / set WM x 2 sloshing
    5. Breakfast

    Love to all

    Morning Valli

Round 1 completed + swallowed two parrots as 'jaded' is turning in to a headache :(

Already having 'I don't want to go to work tomorrow' thoughts - new structure comes in tomorrow. Plan A doesn't work on paper, and no-one seems to have a Plan B. And breathe.... Tomorrow is another day.

Going to hang out WM x2 then see if those parrots work their magic before I do anything else. Golly, I'm hot!!!

I'm really sorry you're having a horrible time at work, Valli. (((Hugs))) You deserve better.

Sorry your brother's being an !!!!, Dizzy.

Thank you Ionafan. It was an exceptionally long day which started with a 4.15 am Kelpie trundle, and ended with me finally crawling into bed and switching out the light at 1.45 am but it was a fantastic experience. I don't, however, ever want to spend another day doing more than 12 hours on a coach again unless completely avoidable. (It may not be.) I love your plans for a week's sleep followed by all the fun stuff that life has to offer, and if you happen to be planning another trip to the soutwest it would be lovely to see you again.

Speaking of having fun, I've booked OH and a friend's husband a Driver Experience - we're not doing a holiday because of the animals but are having individual days out over the whole year. I chose it on the basis that every little boy wants to be a train driver, so I hope they both enjoy it. About 10 days ago we did this, organised by OH and it was completely and utterly magical. We've both been so busy for years we forgot to spend time together being tourists in Devon and Cornwall, so we're rectifying it as our 25th Anniversary celebrations. It's a more fun, a lot less disruptive and hugely more MSE than flying to some far flung 'paradise' too

OH is sorting out the gibble he dragged back from the chalet. I found myself wondering where I was going to put all of it it while over there on Friday, and as a result left things my normal magpie instict would have grabbed before I became indoctrinated into the Flylady Mindset. (When I'm out shopping now it's not so much the money aspect that stops me buying things, it's asking, 'Where am I going to put it?' that stops me.)

I may not have the energy to do any flying today but I'm waiting to hear whether a regular guest is arriving later today or tomorrow. The shower room needs a bit of attention if it's today.
    Better is good enough.

The tabletop sale wasn't worth doing from a monetary point of view but it has made us sort stuff out which can now go to charity.

Footie now, a few odd jobs then off to DDs to practice all the faffing about with the wedding dress.
Spend less now, work less later.

I'm tempted to make a start on the next round (tomorrow?) been off work for a couple of weeks and have an impending house move - need some motivation/accountability to get things in order!
  • Awake at 8.30am due to it not being a workday. Again - although the crashing out before midnight possibly helped. Idiot Cat has acquired a tabby visitor, much to his alarm and displeasure, which probably explains why he has taken to doing smelly things over my lavender by the front door on the rare occasion he wanders out there.

Treated both of us to a pancake with fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and have now realised something small and stingy took exception to my picking the raspberries, as one of my fingers is now quite swollen.

I'm finishing off my cuppa and then I'm off round the corner where Himself is happily planted in the 'Spoons with his mates for the football. Hmm. Road closure for a street festival, tons of bars, street bars, restaurants and bars all showing football, then Poland playing this evening.

Think it might get a bit noisy.

I'm making sure I have my own keys so I can head home as soon as lots of other people move from vaguely irritating to royally p*ssing me off.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Well done on the fundraising yesterday Jazee, and it's a relief to hear about someone who discovered doing a tabletop sale is a great way of motivating onself to sort gibble, but financially not that rewarding. Our local hospice shop did very well out of mine!

Welcome Omgaechylus! Every little helps and 10 minutes spent dealing with one thing will leave you feeling so much better than just looking at it. Have you made any progress since you posted?

Breakfast made and scoffed. Phone calls fielded from the buyers because things were left until the last moment .... Words had ....
