Round 2 completed + WM x 3 is now ready to hang out, so I'll do that then have a cold drink.

Also sloshed bleach in to loo, and washed & recycled some plastics.

Hope everyone is having a peaceful day

We had a bed widdling incident last night so I emptied the dirty stuff out of WM#1 to poke the red wet stuff in.. sorted the basket full into its 2 colour piles.. emptied WM#2 into the now empty basket and stuff the wet waterproof sheet and blanket in.. they are both on a quick wash so will be done soon then I can get the next 2 loads done.

OH and beasties banished to skateboarding and Twinkle is screaming her lungs out and wiping snot on everything.. literally, everything!!!

Swimming stuff bagged and sent with OH, slide in the boot to go to DD1 later today.. and now I need to sort a picnic.. which will require a shop run as we have no bread, no lime marmalade and no crisps/fruit/snacks... so basically, I guess I need to buy a picnic.. come home, build it then walk to the park.. best get a shifty on...

Hedge-cutting man is here doing the huge ancient hedge at the back of our garden; he's taken loads off it - all new growth since the last time he was here 2 years ago, which was overhanging the garden and making it chilly and damp. From the sounds outside, he's on the clearing up stage now (he takes all the trimmings away too :T ) so hopefully he'll be gone soon, and I can get the bedlinen washed and hung outside.

I have a dress to wash by hand, too - one I bought in Belgium several years ago for about 4 Euros. I think it was designed to last just one season, but it's still going strong. :D

Hung out WM x 3, which left just enough space on the line for two pairs of jeans..... two pairs of jeans now sloshing round WM :D

Made myself a cheese & pickle sarnie and checked tv guide to see when F1 GP highlights are on: qualifying highlights are on at tea time tonight, race highlights are on at stupid o'clock tomorrow  daren't stay up to watch as that'll set me up wrong for the week ahead, and I don't have singing/ dancing telly so I can't record it. Sighs at the injustice of life ( and tv planners!) and carries on :D

WUDUPA another bowl of pots is next.

Ugh! I just checked the washing bin and there's two more loads' worth to be done. :( Where is it all coming from? I think it must be breeding in there, as it only seems a couple of days ago that I emptied the thing, and there's only the two of us here.

DS has cut our side of the hedge, which overhangs my fence/back garden.
WOOT I was 'the lad' and picked up the clippings.

I have cleared the kitchen, hung out a washload, emptied the ironing basket by ironing.

I'm supposed to be finishing reports which are due in on Monday but am anti-work at the moment due to (a) management decisions involving change of mind because somebody behaved unprofessionally and resigned last minute and someone else is ill and I am to fill the hole. and (b) arsey behaviour from a colleague who appears to believe it's not necessary to apologise when you processed the payment, forget you did, search for it and can't find so then imply someone else (ie me) had 'done something with it' . Then you find it but 'sorry' is a step too far apparently.
I am very, very unhappy about all this...

If I could I would resign tomorrow.

Last lot of washing (Mr LW's clothes) is in the machine, and I've cleaned the outside of the kitchen window and the patio door and adjoining full-length window. I  my new window vac; normally just doing the patio door and adjoining window would have taken ages and left me on my hands and knees; but today I got all that done in 15 minutes flat without so much as breaking a sweat. :T

Me, too, Valli - whilst they claim that they 'miss me' on the rare occasion I'm off sick, they then proceed to make my life a flaming misery when I'm there. Which is why I have such a problem with Himself - he knows that were he to get a permanent job that covered the rent and bills, the very next time I'm on the receiving end of work related crap, I'd put my keys on my desk, pick up my bag and walk out. His answer of 'You can walk out any time you like' doesn't wash, as he also knows that I will not risk becoming homeless.

At least he's stopped describing himself as a House Husband/Carer - I HATE that, as it implies he's given me an element of choice about the matter and it's for my benefit.

In other news, we did a little gig at a Village fete today, which was quite fun and meant we got to spend some time in the pub with a mate afterwards. I've also been invited to join a rather posh choir, which I think could be good, as there are a couple of good friends in it. And I do rather like 'proper' choral music - ie, classical.

There's a Food Festival tomorrow, where the main road is closed off for general food stalls and a couple of stages where bands we know are playing, plus the football is on. Better than sitting indoors whilst he 'works' on his solo album (which is now finished), but I'm not really feeling particularly enthusiastic about it.

He's cooking something now, so I'll have that and then go and lie down to try and stop my head from thumping quite so much.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Evening everyone. No flying here today. I helped at a village event which raised £2000 and once home got stuff ready for tabletop sale tomorrow.

DH did the washing and made dinner so I don't mind that footie is on again.

DD and her OH will be round shortly to drop off DHs wedding suit then I'm going to have an early night.
Spend less now, work less later.
