I haven't achieved a great deal today, but baked a cake this morning - so that this evening one of my fellow-students and I can re-video a scene in our vlog project [yes, really!] that I messed up a couple of weeks ago. It will have your strawberry and blueberry jam in it, Honey Bear
Rosie has had her walk and made a new friend.
DH wants meatballs and pasta for tea, but first I need to work out how to edit videos.0 -
Jojo.. sign you be getting old.. all those drugs (My list is extensive also and most of them I refuse to take.) Is the Vit D not including calcium? I was under the impression they lump together usually. Naproxen makes my delicate tummy very very unhappy! I have co-codamol instead which requires more medicine so I can 'go' .. it's never ending.. I am very much with you one the hating medication.. you have my every sympathy xxx. I hope foody things are improving with your guidance.
Got to have calcium levels tested with Vit D levels in 3 months and then I'll get that as well if the results show it's low.
Crashed out shortly after I posted last night and just about managed to drag myself out of bed and to work. Where I discovered something that unleashed a whole world of trouble - not my fault - and had to deal with the fallout all day as a result (whilst making damn sure that the attempts to deflect blame my way were pinged away like Batfink with his wings like a shield of steel). If the GP had signed me off for the week like I wanted, none of this would have affected me in the slightest.
Got home, grumbled at Himself about my day, he's asked me what I want to eat and he's had 'I don't effing know' snapped back. He's retreated back upstairs.
And there's more effing football on the telly.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Yes, Wishing, it does. I've spent a couple of hours preparing for a long day elsewhere tomorrow and as it's all household and pet management - you betcha.
You're so close to the end of the course Ionafan I bet you can almost smell freedom already. Are you doing anything to celebrate the end?Excellent news. :T:T:T And if OH is going to have boys' toys, I think you should have equivalent value of girls' toys. So there!
Thank you for your kind thoughts LW. I just want life to calm down so that I can do the things I want to do, not have to spend all my time lurching from one chaotic situation to another.
The builders came back and finished the job but for a bit of trimming that one of them will do tomorrow (OH can see to that), the chap who mows the communal garden came and was looked after and chatted with and the next job lined up with the builders. It's something that's needed doing for a decade so it'll be good when it's done.
And I found the brass chalet numbers I'd meant to screw on last year and spare window keys had been chucked into a bag of gibble so I'll have to drop those back at some point. Ooops.Jojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »Got home, grumbled at Himself about my day, he's asked me what I want to eat and he's had 'I don't effing know' snapped back. He's retreated back upstairs.

Food?
effing football here, too. I almost don't care any more because it means that OH is so absorbed by it that he's not asking me to check anything, and trying to deflect jobs that by rights he should already have done. I say almost because he's now started telling me why the ref's a four letter rude word. I really have to wonder if I look like someone who cares.
And he's covered himself in a bit of glory today by dealing with the electricity supplier, local council and insurers without being asked. I think he might have realised he'd let me down.
(((Hugs))) for everyone struggling today.Better is good enough.0 -
N (fellow-student)arrived early, while we were still eating, so I gobbled my food and packed DH off to war games club.
Videos have been re-shot, plus opening and closing titles. No editing done this evening, as yet - N is going to put together the script and other paperwork that we need to submit, while I deal with the video, since everything we need for it is on my phone or laptop.
N has also explained to me what I need to do for the individual written paper, so that has helped me plan what I have to do this week.Honey_Bear wrote: »You're so close to the end of the course Ionafan I bet you can almost smell freedom already. Are you doing anything to celebrate the end?
Then, not necessarily in this order and definitely not all on one day:
- Treat myself to a new CD player and listen to some music without interruptions
- Take Rosie for a walk in the hills not far from Dizzy Imp
- Tend my garden
- Read some books of my choice, hopefully whilst reclining on a garden chair in the sunshine, with a coffee at my elbow
- Go and visit friends that I haven't seen for at least 2 years
- Maybe meet up with a Flylady or two?
- Play lots with the grandchildren
- Finish painting the newly installed (at Easter) door on the ensuite
- Before December, finish the knitted nativity set that someone started making for the toddler group last December
- Go to a conference in Durham with friends (most of whom I've not met yet in person) from all over Europe, the USA and the Near East for a long weekend at the end of August, after which DH and Rosie will join me up north for a week's holiday
There will be celebrations in mid-September when the six of us are officially recognised as qualified :dance:_party_:beer: and again later in the year with the family :bdaycake:
Looks like plenty of plans but not a lot of flying :rotfl:0 -
Good morning
I've been keeping up with the thread in my lunch breaks at work - hugs and healing vibes being sent out as I read. Tough times for so many
I've also fluttered through the week: hung out towels to dry while I was at work Monday; did WM x 1 as soon as I got in from work on Wednesday and hung it out to dry; been rinsing & recycling cans and plastic bottles each day and shredding while the kettle boils. Oh, and I seem to have acquired a little Valli voice which keeps prompting: don't put it down, put it away.
Last night I sorted Mount Washmore into hillocks and loaded WM ready to turn on whilst I boiled the kettle for my brew this morning. Brew is now being supped, WM is gaily sloshing and I have my flylady head on woot woot(Valli again
)
I've made my bed and put a catalogue in the recycling box - ventured out in my nightie and breathed in great lungfuls of fresh morning air. Delicious!
So, let battle commence. Round 1 =
1. Take clean laundry upstairs
2. Get dressed
3. Change towels in bathroom
4. Change Sweetie's seed and water
Back soon

Plans for today not fully made, but a walk around local car boot is first.

Round 1 completed + hung out WM x 1 and set WM x 2 swishing; fed the birds; opened DS's bedroom curtains, made his bed, pulled out clothes for washing from his floordrobe and emptied his bin; eaten toast and now drinking a second brew.
My forehead is leaking!
Round 2 =
1. WUDUPA one bowl of pots
2. 5 minutes shredding
3. 10 minutes MAD sorting pile of paper by chair
Then I think WM x 2 will be ready to hang out.
Back later.
