The only issue with plain water is that it isn't a great cleanser on its own, so you have to rub harder to get whatever it is off. Adding some micellar water (about 1/3?) would help with that, although it would dilute the preservatives, so you'd need to start again with a fresh batch if you hadn't used it for while.0

I’d hesitate to apply micellar water to a three year old. They’re young, they heal, so water & scrub makes more sense to me.
A mum I know has three flannels each in their ziplock. Her son is a cheerfully filthy monster who stands still and takes being scrubbed when required (then having been kissed by relatives, goes and challenges the dogs to biggest stink....) She usually has a loaded water bottle & I’ve seen the splash to wipe the mouth, the glugging of thirst & the shrewdly judged remains put to restoring relative cleanliness.0 -
When we were ankle-biters, the mothership used to pack a wet, soapy flannel in a tupperware when we went out on picnics. The low-tech no-waste solution to your mucky little monsters......

Damp microfibre cloth rather than a flannel in a ziplock bag. Doesn't go manky all that quickly, certainly good enough for a day outIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

I remember the flannel
usually it was not that warm either!

I like this idea. Though maybe with a microfiber cloth as maryb suggested.
She is a mucky little pup, and despite knowing perfectly well how to use cutlery, it is an ongoing battle to get her to actually use it! Even with the likes of mashed potato, gravy or beans! Sooo messy. Hands, face, top, trousers....lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I was one once myself. A mixture of bribery & penalties may work- I stayed in my filth All Day, cold wet smelly etc when it didn’t matter & was scrubbed, frocked & *warned* when it did.
I suppose social workers etc mean it matters more these days. Within your own gates though, the lads needs to develop her immune system...
Has she been introduced to helping do laundry?0 -
