    Afternoon all. Got some time to spare at the moment as the guys are in fitting kitchen worktops :j:j:j. At least we can get on once they are done as they asked that we didn't fit any wall units as it makes their job easier.
    Been out shopping for lighting this morning as had forgotten all about that. Managed to get what we wanted on the doorstep after trailing all over the city centre!

    Called in Sainsburys on way home to get some lunch, but queues horrendous. Then went to Morrisons , got to cash desk only to be told 30 - 45 minute wait for hot food. :eek::eek:. Just got some sandwiches instead. Had hoped to get a hot meal then have sandwiches this evening, now need to go out this evening for something hot!
    Morrisons was a nightmare. We were in there for about 30 minutes in total, getting served and eating and not one table was cleared! People were just piling empty plates etc onto 1 or 2 tables

    Sorry you didn't get the hot meal you wanted, but your kitchen is nearly done once the worktops are in and it'll look lovely.

    LOL:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    She had obviously had lots of people going in asking the same thing, now if she was clever she could have turned it to her advantage had a plate of her chocolates cut up ready for people to sample and she may have made a few extra sales especially if she was much more polite to people. As I went in to one store with my voucher my friend made additional purchases for nougat and seashells.

    That would have been a good idea. She could have said something like, sorry that shop is closed but we have a lovely range of choccies, try one and see. Most people would have tried one and then bought a packet or two.

    Silly woman lost sales by being so rude to potential customers

    Have you tried selling on Gumtree CW and Aesop? Have never sold on ebay (only bought stuff) due to reading so many negative comments and problems some of you have had. I have managed to sell a few things on Gumtree and so far, so good.

    I tried putting a few things in our local paper, including our old TV, clearly stated as flatscreen but CRT and not LCD / LED. Would you know the number of people phoning up asking if it was flatscreen (yes, it says so in the ad, I've also said it's the CRT type with the big back)...and how many rude people didn't even say 'oh, no thanks then' just hung up :mad: Add that to the number of people who asked if it had Freeview and I ended up giving it away on Freegle. Honestly, what idiots think I'd be selling a LCD or LED TV freeview TV, with stand for £20 :doh:

    Totally agree kerri, some people are idiots. We put a TV on freecycle and had people asking "was it still under guarantee!" Don't quite know what some people expect for free.
