    Good morning guys

Hope you all have a good day today.

The weather forecast looks good so maybe get the garden mowed, the grass is a bit long and we have loads of dandelions in it.

I tried putting a few things in our local paper, including our old TV, clearly stated as flatscreen but CRT and not LCD / LED. Would you know the number of people phoning up asking if it was flatscreen (yes, it says so in the ad, I've also said it's the CRT type with the big back)...and how many rude people didn't even say 'oh, no thanks then' just hung up  Add that to the number of people who asked if it had Freeview and I ended up giving it away on Freegle. Honestly, what idiots think I'd be selling a LCD or LED TV freeview TV, with stand for £20
I got rid of one on fleabay for my FIL as he's 80+ and it weighed a ton. I put in the description how heavy it was and it would need 2 people to lift it and sold it for £30 odd. FIL was really happy as it saved him taking it to the tip :D

I've had very little trouble on fleabay and have 694 100% +ve feedback in the 10 years I've been a member - must be lucky I guess. My best sale was a Mother Bunnykins figure that I sold for £499 + £50 postage to Canada
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

I did consider putting it on fleabay as I do sell on there and to date haven't had too many issues. Thought it would be easier in the local paper for local collection but in the end we just wanted rid of asap. Decided that we'd do a good turn (hopefully) by putting it on Freegle. Perhaps the karma-gods will reward us with a lotto win tonight :rotfl:

I don't think people always read advertisements wherever they are. I gave a desk away on freecycle recently, put the size on the advert but people still asked for the size. I also said it will need two people to carry it but 1 bloke came with a young girl. Luckily my ds was here and helped shift it.

Yes reckon you're right there. Good news tonight is that I (hopefully) have managed to shift the Iam$ that mog decided she didn't like after I stocked up on the Sada 'special offer' ;)

    Morning everyone

Chattmum - how do you get your cakes all the same size. They look fab and should go down a treat at school. Definately as good as any cake shop could produce.

Hope you all have a good day
