  • Morning everyone great to be back.

Mioliere so sorry to hear of your loss

I normally lurk but may post a bit more as I have been signed off for 4 weeks, have a cast on my leg from a foot injury that happened 7 weeks ago.

OS so far I have managed to tidy up and put a load in the WM. Rest of the day will be spent sat on my bum with my leg up!!

My DD comes back from St Lucia with her dad tomorrow, so will be a suitcase full of washing there. She does not know about my leg yet so may pre warn Ex DH so its not too much of a shock.

    Hello everybody,

Moiliere Sincere condolences to you & family. xxx

OK fess up, who did it? :D I have my suspicions, but don't want to voice them out aloud. I can't believe how much I missed you all. :A I'm so glad they got the site up and running. Well DGS left on Saturday arv & we went and met up with friends on Sunday and had lunch.

Today, I met up with my sister. I left the shopping centre nearly at 1pm and unfortunately, ahem, cough, instead of catching the *280* bus I somehow caught the *180*. :D I had the MP3 player blasting away while I gazed out the window and nothing really registered until I saw the city landscape and thought what??

I crept up to the bus driver and told him my little mistake  and he told me what bus to get and where. I got home at 5.30 pm. It's been a longer day than anticipated. :D Very relaxing though. So Haribo, that's why I wasn't on earlier. :p Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Sounds great Penny - dh and I had thought of getting them to make pizza for tea one night - they could do the dough and toppings etc. Thought sausage and mash might go down well - I did cocktail sausages with the chicken and they all disappeared! It all depends on where we go and what facilities I have. Where we go in the Mournes, I have a rickety (bottled) gas cooker, cold running water and no electricity. The kitchen this weekend was amazing - once I worked out how to use everything!

:j Hurray, normal service is resumed! :j

Hope everyone has been ok over the weekend.
Big hugs to Mioliere and family.

We were all off school last week so I didn't get on here much as we were busy with various things like shopping, cinema, swimming lessons, haircuts, dentists etc and some friends also came to stay for a few days.
Another friend gave me an unusual vegetable from his allotment that looked like an enormous courgette but was some sort of chinese vegetable. Anyway most of it ended up in a vegetarian lasagne and the rest is in the freezer. He also gave me a huge marrow that is still sitting in the kitchen, so I'm still considering what to do with that  .
I spent the weekend catching up on the housework and sorting out some big problems with our computer (only took 10 hours to fix  ).

Today I'm feeling a bit under the weather...headache, tired etc. So I'm hoping I'm not coming down with a bug as I'm in w*** tomorrow  .
Yesterday I did a huge shop in Asda and picked up a few special offers and we had roast chicken for tea. The rest of the chicken will be chicken fajitas for tonight's tea and 2 chicken and leek pies for the freezer.
Well enjoy the rest of the day, I'm going to attempt to do some hoovering now. Bye!

Having spent a large proportion of the weekend checking to see if the site was back up, now that it is, I must go and catch up on some housework:o :o How crazy is that:rotfl:

Think I'll shove some lamb shanks in the oven then I can concentrate on cleaning. Oh joy!

    Bye for now,

Bad news: I have to get a new ironing board (oh joy:rolleyes: ) as my one collapsed last nite.

    outrageous_monkey and jayward hello :T

dannahaz, hope you got the flood sorted

Well I too missed the site all weekend, although I have done so much housework, all the usual plus I have cleaned the windows inside and out (mrs Mc are you proud ?) and cleared the airing cupboard out, I have also got 3 loads of washing blowing on the line, its beutiful here, although cold, will fetch it in at ab out 4 as it gets damp otherwise.
Got lamb steaks for tea, but run out of potatoes, so may do a rissoto type of thing to go with it.

Off to have a surf now, because I have done so much cleaning over the weekend I feel perfectly justified spending the arvo on here :D

    Love to all

    Hello all,

Well, due to my weekend away I missed the uproar with the site.

Mioiliere - big hugs to you and your family

The weekend was good - the people we were working for are really rather posh, so spent the weekend minding our p's and q's and rediscovering 'light conversation' :)

Plans for today are to do a meal plan - haven't done one since I lived in Plymouth , so need to get back on track. Also need to change the bed and do some general clearing up. I cleaned the bathroom before we went away and now its covered in little muddy paw prints :)
