(((hugs))) to you and your family, moliere. and x x x kisses x x x to Martin and the crew for getting us back on!
Unfortunately I was away at a wedding from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon so I missed most of the 'benefit' of free time to clean the house - and Sunday was far too hungover! So my house still looks as messy as it did last week...oh well!
Today I'm visiting my mum and picking up a pot of 'bugs, insects, trees etc' I got off freecycle (the 3 yr old should love it!) then I might see if I can go do some shopping. A tesco order is coming this evening and I'll have lots of cooking to do after that, though I can't quite remember what I'm making tonight.
Hope everyone is having a good day - and all happpy to have mse back!0 -
Hi Guys
Mioliere-Hugs hun and sympathy to all your family. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
I have been in total limbo over the weekend. I am supposed to be on bed rest which is fine and thought Icould manage.....but NO MSE....well sorry....thats taking the p*ss:D My OH found me rocking in the corner several times repeating "No...MSE".....only joking!!
Twink & Suzie & JamieDodger kept me sane and helped me through my moments of weakness talking about chickens and Wispas.
BTW...we are getting 4 chickens today;) OH has built a pad and made an enclosed run, bought a fox deterrent (sp) bought feeders...you name is we have it..all got at cheapest prices of course and today he's off to get the birds. We need 4 names but one is being called Bessie requested by my niece. Any ideas????
Today I am still on bedrest but may sort a couple of drawers sitting down of course.
My health has not been too good and blood results yesterday at the hospital confirmed that my Lupus/FMS has worsened and may need to go back into hospital. They have increased the Chemo drugs which are making me feel sick. Oh well.
Anyway, Im done in now. Love to all I've missed you all alot.

day off today. got to do some serious housework. the ironing pile is outrageous. need to chase up some extra work, and sort out a few dental appointments. DS was sent home sick from school yesterday. has been feeling poorly for a while now, might take him to GP.x x x0 -
Good morning everyone,
Moiliere - ((HUGS)) to you and your family xxx
PP - hugs to you too xx
Well, like a lot of you on here, i now have a lovely clean house, and a new obsession with facebook, where i met lots of lovely MSE members - although MSE will always be my home!!!
Have a big pile of stuff to ebay, and Thursday is half price listing day, so if you have anything, that will be a good day to get listing!!!
Nothing much been happening here (another reason why im so lost without MSE) DSs team won 11 - 1, and he scored a goal on Saturday - while we watched in the pouring rain, so i came home and got into my pjs and made us all a big mug of hot chocolate, so i suppose there was an upside to the weather!! He went to 2 birthday parties yesterday, and was meant to be at a sleepover, but his friends mum rang at 10.45 to say he was upset and wanted to come home, so she kindly brought him back for me. Not sure what was wrong, i dont think it was anything to do with the other lads, but he was hungry, and also had a bit of a tummy ache (indegestion) so i think it might be that. Both mine are still in bed at the moment, but its half term here so im going to let them sleep.
Have one LO here, and hes sat on my lap watching me type - on my lovely laptop!! With all this extra time i had over the weekend, i managed to get it up and working, and i love it. Apart from the fact that silly vista doesnt like my printer, i cant afford a new one at the moment, so have 2 computers here now, one to use, and one in case i need to print anything out.
Ok, better go, fancy some breakfast.
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning all,
Mioliere - hugs to you and your family - I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers
Penny Pincher - lovely to see you back - hope you feel better soon
What a shock yesterday morning! It's half term here this week and we were away on Cub camp all weekend so I was looking forward to some MSE time with a nice cup of tea and no rushing to get the kids out of the house - and there was no MSE  . Well done to Martin and the team - who are the idiots who do things like this?
I was cooking all weekend at Cub camp (in a lovely industrial size kitchen - bit different from normal:D ) and determined to give them OS food from scratch. Sat night was spag bol from scratch which went down well, with garlic bread (although one kid announced he was allergic to bolognaise - reply from leaders - your parents haven't put it on your pc form, tough. He had plain spaghetti with cheese!) It was HM meringues for pudding with fruit and squirty cream - and we had to have a tasting session for meringues, as a lot of them had never seen one before. Still, once tasted they were pretty keen.
However I'm still recovering from Sunday lunch. I did a roasted chicken drumstick each with mash, peas, carrots and gravy. Half of them didn't seem to recognise it as chicken as it wasn't in nugget form, and then they couldn't cope with eating it on the bone, even though we said they could use their fingers and there were some kids showing them how to do it. There was so much left on some bones that I stripped it all off and brought it home for the dog - it'll do him 4 meals:eek: . Then there were the ones that didn't do veg, the ones that have trouble sitting at a table and using a knife and fork.......
And we're planning a 5 day camp next Easter! I'm in menu planning mode already - I refuse to give in to the processed food brigade! Still the leaders and most of the kids enjoyed it.
Sorry about the rant - but I thought you'd all understand! Quiet day today - ds1 has some homework, I have an ironing mountain and I need to finish a matinee coat for a colleague of dh, whose wife had a baby a couple of weeks ago. We might go swimming later. Chicken risotto tonight - there was a chicken breast leftover from camp (not off the Cub's plates  ) and a bit of bacon from Sun breakfast, so I'll use that up.
Have a nice day everyone“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Managed to open Friday’s/todays pages to read them off line, so here goes:
WELL DONE, MARTIN, AND ALL YOUR TECHIE FRIENDS.
Moielier/Jackie0/Pen-Pin – (((hugs)))
Scuzz – well done on the Poppy selling. Remembrance Sunday is always the Sunday closest to our WA (10th Nov) so whenever we go to church for our Anniversary, it is the Remembrance Service. Hope I can find Poppies out here, think I will, if not will have to send a donation on line.
Amie – Hope you enjoyed the IOW, and Plumduff Hobbycraft.
Smokybabe – How’s OH’s leg?
MrsMcawber – Well done on weight loss, I’ve managed a couple of kilos offwhile out here (yippee!! – every little helps) – (((hugs))) to Sis – is there any suggestions on the McMillan Site?
Mrs_Mix – Did I see you have to have an op? (((hugs)) Hope it eases your pain.
Crazychick – The old story with councils/councillors – you have to be a complete PITA to make them take notice, if they think they can fob you off and get rid of you then they go on to someone who is making their life hell! IYKWIM. Re the neighbours – often they don’t like writing letters, you may need to create a blank they can just sign and put their house number on and then they will be willing. On the job front secure well paid unskilled jobs are hard to find these days, usually to get the pennies, you have to move around, living away from home during the week and sometimes weekends too. Often you have to take the gamble of keeping changing, horrible though that is.
PW – Hope the cold is clearing up now and you feel better.
Luxor4t – First of all can I be dumb and ask what OM is? Secondly you have my sympathies with MIL, my Dad has dementia and has no idea who we are now! It’s heartbreaking at times.
Tiredmum – Think a letter of complaint to Pontins is more than necessary. You never know you may get a freebie (if you really wanted one that is!)
Pen-Pen – sounds like you and the kids had a good half term. How are the chicks doing?
thriftmonster - Keep up the good work with the real food for kids.
Must go complete until tonight else my phone bill will be horrendous.
Take care
