Just thought I'd give you a laugh or a fright!

I was doing the ironing this morning in just my knickers as the heating was on and I was too hot with my dressing gown on. The post came so I went and fetched it BUT then the postman came back with one he'd forgotten as I walked down the hall starkers! I'm sure he got an eyeful because it is frosted glass in our front door and I could tell what he was wearing so I'm sure he could see what I was wearing - er - nothing!

Good luck with your next interview. Looks like we'll both be nervy on Tuesday then, as this is my first day.

    Hi everyone

Hardly posted this week and have not had much chance to read let alone post on here but have been here in spirit ;)

This afternoon we have sorted out some bags of toys and 'stuff' that gets bunged in when we are having a quick tidy :o. Actually quite pleased with what we have done but to the untrained eye it probably looks no different :p
Need quote for 2 new front tyres for car aswell.

http://www.marmaladecarclub.co.uk/ Dusty this website popped into my head which might help. Seem to think they do a good deal, not had to change any tyres for ages but it might be worth a look.

    Hi everyone,

typing listening to all the fireworks going off! Had my own private display in front of the house while I was making dinner - one of the benefits of living on a hill!!

Treated myself to an hour and a half on the allotment this morning as it was beautifully sunny. I managed to clear away all the old runner beans and weed half the bed (the beds are 30'x5' - so quite a nice space). I picked lettuce and chicory leaves, and an enormous mooli radish for tonight's salad.
The rest of the middle part of the day involved kid's taxi service and a quick trip into town for a birthday card and present for DS2 to take this afternoon - late invitation, so no time to get it before. Delivered them all to their destinations, and then decided that was quite enough for one day! I have done all the washing, and DS1 is listing stuff on ebay for me.

I've started my knitting again, and have done half a sleeve of the jumper I abandoned last winter. With a bit of luck, I may actually finish it! I had a look around the fabric and wool shop while in town, and there are some gorgeous patterns and yarns around - I feel quite inspired! Even DD asked me to knit her a jumper!!

Off to spend the day at my sister's tomorrow, so no flying until Monday.

    Have a happy weekend!

I wish I had a garden to grow my own veg, but all I've got is a yard (otherwise known as the dogs toilet) and pots in doors. I've just had my first crop of potatoes I was growing in a black bag in the bathroom. I had about 7, and even thou all but one were smaller than peas, I was well chuffed!

I can't knit, but I do crochet (sp?) I make big blankets, it can take me all year to do one thou!

    hi all

    am now back home :)

had a nightmare journey and hat to stand/sit on my case in the vestibule of the train from clapham junction to southampton (which was almost 2 hours cos of engineering works). apparently they had a problem so the train was 5 instead of 10 coaches. finally got a seat when i changed at ston but my hip and back are very achey now :(

sooooo pleased that i left the place clean and tidy and that i changed the bed before i left. it makes such a difference to get back to.

am super skint now, i have about 20p to last til next week (if i can manage to not withdraw any cash!) raphael the moosies challenge sounds good, where can i find out more?! i am feeling the urge for a trip to the supermarket and i do need some fruit but i am going to limit myself to £5. maybe i'll get a tenner out £5 for groceries and £5 for other stuff as i have an amazon parcel to post!

It's very quiet on here this weekend.

    So far I've:

    WM x 1
    TD x 1
Ironed what I'd dried overnight in the TD
    Fed the kids

So a good start I think!

Kids are going to visit my grandparents with my parents this morning so will wrap a few more Christmas prezzies while they're gone. DH is still in bed so when he decides to surface I may do a bit upstairs as well.

I've got a load of dishes to do as I didn't do any yesterday. I went bed almost as soon as we came back from mum and dad's house as I was shattered. I might leave the dishes to DH though or do them and then he's got room to prepare dinner.:D

Pleased to see you made it back safely rach even if it was a horrendous journey.

Hope everyone has a good day
