Cool! thanks for that pigpen x
Just been having a read at the PPI page and Capital One have already been fined, so I'm gonna give it a bash and see what happens, think it was them, I've got nothing to lose have I lol
edit: I'll have to get my credit record, I've finished paying the card off but have no paperwork left from it unfortunately, that'll teach me to fling stuff willy-nilly.0 -
Well done Kaz!!!!!
I'm going to try and claim back PPI on the final loan, its only £249, but on a £500 loan? Would clear the rest of that loan and I could finish the Christmas shopping too! Oh wait, we tried to get it to pay for the loan when hubby was made redundant... Think it MAY have paid once, though I have a feeling it took that long that we just kept paying it anyway...
Wonder if I can claim back PPI on a loan I defaulted on then had a payment agreement before paying it off in a lump sum? *ponders*
As for the bank... Lloyds has charged me again on my account (That gets DLA, CA and CB only), so printing off complaint form for the FO they will look at it as its financial hardship, no matter how much hubby has in his account. Then I will be looking at other banks.
Then I will MAYBE do some tidying. Just going for a general tidy up, nothing big. My Mum and Dad are taking DS1 tonight, still got DS2 but at least I may get a lie in tomorrow!
Off to put a washing on while these forms are printing out.0 -
morning ladies.
had a lazy morning. DS woke at 5:30 but DH got up with him and let me sleep until he put him down for a nap at 9, when he crawled back into bed himself.
I'm still sat here in my nightie. Have managed to put a load of bibs in the WM and have breakie though,
plan is to not push myself too hard today. When i got in at 8 last night i had been sick at my mums house, and got a stonking headache, so it was another night with no tea. I think today i need to try and eat properly and regularly or i will be in no fit state to go to work on monday.
we do need to go to morrrisons for some food, and we could probably also do with going to B and Q to get a replacement strip light for the kitchen as it sounds like it is about to explode and looks like a strobe light when it is on. If we are going there, we probably should also go to the suit hire shop to return DH's tux from the other night.
have a restful weekend everyone.
Michelle, x0 -
Aww Michelle, you need to try and eat every few hours if you can. And get plenty of rest.
It's not easy though and I hope it passes soon.
Also, it's easier being sick if you have something to bring up... _pale_
(((hugs)))0 -
Michelle if you are being sick the headache is probably due to dehydration, make sure you keep your fluid levels up and try and get some re-hydration solution like dioralyte. Will make you feel better as replaces essential sugars and salts. ((hugs))
Also apparently ginger is good for nausea??The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hello everyone!
I've been given my first supply assignment - Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in a year 6 class!! I'm quite scared cos I've never taught year 6 before (only year 5), and I'm worried that the kids will try to confuse me by swapping names etc cos I'm the supply teacher - do kids still make fun of supply teachers nowadays?
Hooray! I am really pleased for you. After all your hard work training you should be working in a school. I hope this leads on to bigger and better things. Don't worry about kids swapping names etc. I did nine years of supply when my kids were little and loved it. Just act confident and make things interesting for the kids and you will be fine. :j

Kaz and SM congrats to both of you! Kids don't play up for supply in our primary - sure you will be great. Just think what good experience it is and how great the cash will be.
Have finished the bathroom, put washing on line, put tonights in machine and done 1 hour collect leaves and fallen apples in the garden. Have a couple of bucket loads to chop and blanch if I get round to it tomorrow - free food for in winter so silly not to but I only want to us up so much freezer space with xmas approaching. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. If it wasn't for you guys and all of your support, I think I would have been tempted to leave the world of teaching, so thank you to everyone who has taken time to wish me luck and send me pms.
The agency said that the teachers usually leave work for you to do with the children, but sometimes they don't, so to be prepared with some worksheets etc just in case. Have tried calling the girl who supplied there last week, but it keeps on saying that it hasn't been possible to connect the call, and to try later? Maybe she has her phone switched off and doesn't have an answerphone? I've never come across this message before.
Wow pigpen - that bag of spuds was excellent value! I went off to our local market, and they were selling their 5kg bags for £2.00 but as there is only the two of us, there is no way we'd get through that amount before they started to sprout, so I bought 2.5kg for £1 instead. Also got a couple of sweet potatoes for jackets, and 10 braeburn apples with a grand total cost of £3.18 which I didn't think was too bad. Also managed to go into town and get some facewipes from boots using my points, and they were bogof so I got 2 packs for free!
We've got our village fireworks tonight, so I'm looking forward to those, and we may go to the pub with our upstairs neighbours and some of their friends after too, so my socail life seems to be on the up after having none for I don't know how long. Oh poo - I knew I forgot something - needed to get some cash out for tonight. Looks like I'm going to have to raid my piggybank with all of the tips in that I saved when I was working at the pub.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
