Roasted veggies and rice??? (oh... man with Rogan josh Curry sauce...mmmm sweet potato curry)
Savory rice? (throw in a stock cube and some herbs, bit of veg like peas etc)

it is a lovely day here. Hope you all have a good day0 -
Ok still not much done here. Finally made it out of bed and showered and got to post office before they closed. So thats my yes please I'll have the money letter sent 1st class, along with reclaim letters for C Cd charges. Walked doogie and DD at same time and picked up beer for when OH finishes work and a lottery ticket at Morrisons. I like Morrisons, although when we go there with OH always end up spending more but I do find there fruit and veg last much longer than Mr T's, and I like their pie shop and bakery. Since being back I've done nothing apart from sit on here. Doesnt help with this stinking head ache I've got again - think I'm worrying about going into hosp next week just wish it would go. Well I suppose I better go get something to eat then get on. Enjoy the weekend.
KazMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
No proper flying done today.
Been shopping to Asda, then popped up to the Standard Firework factory and got loads of cheap fireworks.
Just put some parkin in the oven. mmmm.... Not made it for years and can't wait for it to be ready. Its supposed to be for the bonfire tonight but not sure if it will make it.
Going to a friends for a bonfire get together later on. I love this time of year. Lots of socializing and wrapping up warm. I can wear a woolly hat to hide my hair.:rotfl:Nothing to declare

I like morrisons for their, uhm... groceries... You know the stuff you buy that only lasts a few days, bread, veg, etc???
Love the bread shop, yummy yummy rolls and what not.
For tins and store room goods, I stick to asda, unless Morisons has it on 3 for 2, BOGOF etc. But you do end up spending more because of the BOGOF's!
Also, cheapest for fuel and you get a £5 voucher with the card thingy every so often... I'm pretty vague...
DS1 hoovered, DS2 wet wiped while I did the dishes then hoover properly. the wet wiping will wait. Off to get me slap on and take DS1 to my Mum and Dads, no doubt staying to do his housework before Mum comes home.0 -
I didn't do much flying yesterday, but I have some good news (I think). I've been given my first supply assignment - Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in a year 6 class!! I'm quite scared cos I've never taught year 6 before (only year 5), and I'm worried that the kids will try to confuse me by swapping names etc cos I'm the supply teacher - do kids still make fun of supply teachers nowadays? Anyway, I have the number of the girl who did supply there last week (she is doing Monday and Thursday too) and I'm going to find out what it was like, and what they are learning at the mo. Pays well (£102 per day) which is good.
Hi SM
I'm sure you'll be fine. The teacher's normally leave you a list of work to be done and if you've got a TA in the class with you the kids won't be able to do things like swapping names, etc. I've found that Y6 are quite often better than Y5 as they seem to settle down a bit more. As long as you're firm with them from the start they won't give you any trouble.

I spent last night ironing while DH went out and then I started again this morning at 6.30! BUT I am pleased to report there is no more ironing to be done in this house!:j
Other than that, I've done nothing! However, DH and I nipped out this morning and left the kids with some friends and went and picked up a couple of Christmas presents from Woollies while they've got 10% off toys. Now we've got their kids while they've popped out!
Going to mum and dad's tonight for tea and fireworks so that'll be fun and no cooking for me!
Hugs to all
Catch you later
