It's a lovely house, the entrance hall is nice but for me it goes downhill from then with all the floral wallpaper, pretty much every room would need redecorating.

Also the clothes and shoes in the downstairs loo is not a good look.

On the plus side I love the layout with all the little nooks and crannies, it has great character.

It's a beautiful house, only thing is the garden being on the smaller side, but obviously nothing can be done about that.
Photos are crazy, loads of photos of doors, windows etc, they all need to be got rid of because some people will give up before seeing everything. Also get rid of some of the bathroom photos, there was loads just showing slightly different angles

I think it looks nice and ready for sale.

If I'm really honest I don't like both of the bathrooms.

Remove the car from the front unless you change it for a posh one lol

Personally I love your decor, the wallpaper and the blue carpet. But even if I didn't it wouldn't put me off buying a house as I don't expect someone else to have decorated for my tastes.

Your house is beautiful, full of character.

I would say that generally if you are needing a house of that size then you would most likely be a family wanting a bigger garden and another bathroom.

I wouldn't reduce further just now, sometimes I think it just needs time for the right buyer. The demand for a five bedroom is far less than a three so I would think it would take more time.

    Lovely house.

Unfortunately a combination of 6 bedrooms and only one bathroom is a badly thought out configuration. Even if it's 4 bedrooms (plus study) many people would be looking for an ensuite shower room.

My personal view is that I would have configured the first and second floors differently. Perhaps making the second floor a master suite, i.e. bedroom, bathroom, dressing room.

I haven't looked at comparable properties but I don't think a reduction again is going to overcome the drawback of only one bathroom.

You've already reduced by £15k. It might only cost £2k to put a standard shower cubicle and mixer shower in the downstairs loo, and that may be enough to pull some people in.

id agree with others, far too many photos. leaving nothing to the imagination and also of really odd views showing aspects that will put buyers off. Also from the garden photos i would get rid of any showing the patio outwards - in the pictures these to me make your garden look small, whereas the ones from the back looking towards the house have the opposite effect. Nice house though and good luck

We had a similarly sized house in Southsea - anyone looking for similarly low prices in the South should look in that area. However, it took us ages to find a buyer and we changed agents when it became obvious that our first agent had little idea about how to sell large houses - our second agent had other similar houses on their books and understood the target market far better. It looks like your agent has other similar houses on their books but it is interesting that most of the larger houses have been on the market longer than yours so I think you will have to be patient - large, individual houses don't sell as quickly as cheaper standard houses.

Our buyer has recently sold the house again. He had put it on the market a couple of years ago with little interest but, between then and now, he completely revamped the decor and turned it into something that looked expensive (our decor had been more functional than elegant). I'm not sure how quickly it sold this time but he got a good price for it.

Our house had a bathroom on each floor with bedrooms and a further two toilets when we bought it although we removed one as we felt one on each floor was enough. I'm fairly sure that most buyers would want a bathroom on the top floor of your house.

A house with 5 beds needs at least two bathrooms upstairs and probably an en-suite for the master. The decor is a bit chintzy for me, but that's neither here nor there. Everything seems to be in good order and well-maintained.

But the dealbreaker for me is something you can't change - the lack of off-street parking. Just looking at the street view shows that it's on a busy road; I wouldn't want to park my car on it. And the drive is small; half-filled by a dinky little Corsa! Even the wide-angle shot, which usually flatters to deceive, cannot hide this.
