The understairs seating area points me off.

6 bedrooms with 1 bathroom, can be off putting for families looking for those number of bedrooms.

Six bedrooms, one bathroom, no way. That's it I'm afraid.

Fabric of the house is lovely but for me I wouldn't view as I loathe floral patterns and indeed, all wallpaper, so all I can see is that I'd have to redecorate absolutely everywhere.

No bathroom on top floor would be a problem. One bathroom in total with that many bedrooms is not enough. For a top class house I'd at least want an ensuite to master bedroom. Can you imagine having enough children to fill those rooms and trying to co-ordinate bathroom time?

Garden is too small for the size of house. No utility room or anywhere to hang coats/boots other than the toilet.

    Blue carpet is a no.

Only criticism for me is there is no garage and probably not enough off road parking for the size of the house. But you can't change that. Beautiful and well presented house.

Too many photos, often repeated/of pointless things... didn't like the shot of the car parked at a jaunty angle in the driveway as it makes it look as if it's tight for parking, when, in fact, you could get quite a few on there. Better to have it showing none than your car.

Six bedrooms - I only found five .... and only one bathroom's not going to be "good enough" even for me (and I live alone).

All I could think of was ".... my god, the furniture and curtains bill to fill all those rooms!" :)

Lovely house but if I were ever looking for a six bedroom home, I would want a bigger garden, more than one bathroom and garage/car parking for easily more than one car.

Its not clear from the photo how many cars would fit on the drive, do you have friends with larger cars they could park in front of the house to take a photo so people can gauge the size/space more easily.

The bathroom issue could be resolved if I was prepared to spend more money but there is nothing I could do to change the garden or parking, therefore the only thing that would persuade me to buy would be price, it would have to be cheap enough to offset those issues.

I didn't mind the amount of photos but they need to be in some kind of order, they don't seem to flow very well.

Unfortunately, two possibly three things let this house down.

    1. Garden, plain rather bare and with the age and size of house was expecting much larger. Big disappointment!

    2. Lack of 2nd bathroom (6 bed houses now often have 3 bathrooms!)

    3. Minimal off road parking.

It is often the major items which either cannot be or would need expenditure and disruption to change, rather than decor and carpets, which inhibit a sale.

Thanks for all the feedback - more than I had expected but all welcome.

We take on board the number of photos and will be talking to the agent to arrange a cull of the superfluous ones.

In our defence the colour of the blue carpet in the photo isn't a particularly accurate representation of the actual shade it is much darker but we have decided to replace the carpet with a continuation of the grey carpet used in the hall (we will also do something about the dark wood fire surround).

I do not really know why the headline on the Rightmove page says 6 bedrooms we have always considered the house to have 5 useable bedrooms, we will get that amended.

The garden is what it is, we can't make it any bigger but it is unusual in this area to get a large garden plot, in fairness the pictures were taken in February and the garden looks much better/tidier now so will get those pictures updated.

Similarly with the bathrooms, there is sufficient space to install an extra bathroom but that would be something for the new owner to implement.

We will retake the picture of the front of the house (minus the crappy old car). but to clarify the parking space there is actually enough room for three cars to off road park.

All the responses are much appreciated, keep them coming - the more the merrier

Way too many photos (I stopped looking after about 10) - could you move them round so put the important ones first, front of house, bedrooms, reception and bathrooms first, then garden then all the others at the end.

My suspicion is that the house is too expensive for the size of the garden and the road. That is quite a busy road it has trafic lights at the end. There are white lines down the middle so it isn't a quiet residential road.
