Its called "upselling". A lot of low margin retailers do it - its hardly the first time you've seen it surely?

And it wasnt an instruction to "pop in to the store to buy insurance" it was caveated by "if you would like to cover it" - so simply a matter of checking your insurance first, then deciding if you need additional cover bought. Hardly a crime?

And as you've admitted yourself, not all home insurance policies will cover loss or damage of a specific expensive electronic item away from the home.

"Adequate" does not mean 100% secure. And again its simple upselling.

Is this really the worst thing that some people on here see in life that pitching for a bit of extra business disgusts and outrages them? Because it doesnt make my top 100.

Either that or the terms have very much become over used and watered down....

It would seem this topic makes your top 100 as you won't leave it alone....
I think you've made your position abundantly clear in numerous posts, basically all saying the same thing.

It might be time for a BG to close the thread, as little new is being added to it.

Call it upselling if you like - to say thet there is "no internet security" when there is McAfee AND Windows Defender ... I call that lying!

Like some have said - just agree to disagree and move on - life's too short!
