Received £30 from a telephone focus group/interview:). Takes my total for June to £345.12:j. I'm declaring at that amount as there's nothing else in the pipeline for the rest of the month:(.

I'd just like to say that I'm bowing out of the challenge. My focus has been mainly on selling things and now I have barely a couple of bootfuls of saleable items left I'll be taking them to the animal rescue's new charity shop. I will keep on doing surveys when I get the time but what I earn from them is pitiful:(. Now that Yellow pages has ceased publication that's another income source closed off:(

I've also just accepted a job as fundraiser for the local animal rescue centre that I volunteer at. I was asked to do it several times but I didn't want to commit so much of my time. I've decided now to go for it and have just phoned the organiser to accept. I'm wondering what I've let myself in for:eek:. It's not a paid job as such although travel expenses and office supplies and phone calls can be reclaimed if necessary. It doesn't have 'set' hours but I expect it will be taking most of my time. If a job's worth doing and all that, eh?

It's been such fun being part of the thread for all this time and I've made lots of much needed money towards paying off my debts:j. A massive thanks to everyone I've got to know along the way, and especially to Aesop who made most of it possible::A:T:beer:

I expect I'll still pop in from time to time to see how you're all doing. Meanwhile, I wish you all the very best of success:beer:

Well done on reaching your target cbc :T

I am sure I speak for everyone when I say you will be sorely missed on the thread so please pop back and say hello when you can

Best wishes with the fundraising position- I am sure you will be brilliant at it.

    Take care xxx

The thread has become very quiet over recent months and we have lost a few regular posters, notably lynnejk and now CBC.

Aesop is also looking to bow out as she is finding less and less time to post with all the other demands on her time.

I for one don’t want to see the thread disappear as it has been such a support to me and so many others but it is a lot of responsibility for one person to run it month after month.

I wondered if it would be possible to have a team effort and take it in turns to set up the new thread each month.

If a few of the regulars were willing to help with this my suggestion was that I would ask Aesop to set up one last thread for July and I would do the list of challengers. Then I would set up the thread for August and someone else would do the list of challengers (Kantankerus Mare has agreed to help already so hopefully her) Then in September KM sets up the thread and someone else does the challengers and so on.

If enough people are willing to help no one would have too much responsibility and maybe some more new ideas would come to light and we may build up the number of posters again.

Let me know what you all think.

Finally please join me in giving Aesop a massive round of applause for all her hard work on the thread the last few years :T:T:T:T:T

Echo totally what Shariann says above. :T Ive been part of this thread for the last couple of years and will never forget my initial welcome when I first joined. Lynne, Aesop and CBC are always encouraging to new members and make them feelpart of one big family. I feel quite emotional writing this ( soft s*d that I am. :rotfl:
CBC.......the thread wont be the same without you!!!! I mean that from the bottom of my heart!! You have to go do what you need to do though and I hope it works out for you. Just dont be a stranger!!

Lynne......hope everything is ok wherever you are.

Aesop.....I hope you soon find your forever home and sort out your pc problems. Come back to us with your wealth of knowledge and encouragement.

Shariann....I know you have problems of your own to deal with but you have really become one of the mainstay posters on here. :D

I really hope the thread doesnt go completely quiet with just a few of us posting. It makes me keep motivated to try to make a bit every day as I feel like I need something to write on this thread.

I want to pay off my mortgage in the next five years and this thread is my motivation. I could do a diary but I like it here and think we are a great bunch.

    Anyway......thats my ramblings

What wonderful news Carbootcrazy. You've been a trooper on here for so many, for so long. As much as you'll be missed the volunteer role sounds perfect for you. I'm guessing you're not leaving MSE altogether?

Aesop: What a lot going on! Thinking of you lovely.

Im a bit frustrated with the swago board, Usually go for the 50 sb as nobody can be convinced to be my referral but I dont like the central Gold survey square.

I dont mind surveys as such but just hate swagbucks for them Sometimes feel you try hundreds and dont qualify. Have tried three tonight with no joy. Will have to try again tomorrow.

I signed up to Fitnest via swagbucks and then cancelled to get the sign up bonus and nothing has been credited. I've messaged and had no response.
I can see that some people seem to be redeeming rewards all the time but I'm finding it a hard slog.

I need to try some others, I think and see if they are any better cause I'm finding swagbucks a lot of work for not much reward :(

In regards to money making...nothing more from me. I need to get my finger out!

I'm sorry to see you go cbc I always found your posts very encouraging. xx

Redeemed £10 from Swagbucks (haven't received it yet though) and have been working towards some more on InstaGC and Qmee.
