Thank you for your responses so far.
My understanding was that the ordinal correspondence I had from them was the LBC... this just says they have been advised to issue court proceedings within 14 days of the letter.
I guess I'll just sit and wait and see if anything arrives?

A LBC ages ago means nothing, but you WILL likely get a claim so be prepared to win!

    **UPDATE**

so got home from work today to find court letters from Northampton County Court.

Inside it tells me my options as to what I want to do.
I will redirect myself to the newbie thread but I'm guessing I need to complete and send the acknowledgment form and begin preparing my defence?

I suppose this is where I begin asking for further help from you lovely lot...

Oh... I've never been asked to clarify that before. ;)

Not easy to re-phrase that but is this clearer...

What is the Issue Date in the box labelled Issue Date on the form entitled Claim Form that you received from the County Court Business Centre?

You do not fill in any paper forms so get to the NEWBIES thread and read how to do the AOS on MCOL.

With a Claim Issue Date of 13th November, you have until Monday 3rd December to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Having done the AoS, you then have until 4pm on Monday 17th December 2018 to file your Defence.

That's over a month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to put you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

Evening folks, wondered if I could share something with you and see if you can tell me what you think....
I signed up this evening to do my AoS and just got the page to do so and in the claim history section, it says the following:

A claim was issued against you on 13/11/2018

Date of service of 21/11/2018 notified on 29/11/2018 at 13:32:27

Issue date on my letter is 13th so I know I'm still within my time frame, was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the second line "date of service" part, being today and all....

    Thanks in advance
