  • Sorry I can't help with web addresses but local papers and estate agents would be a good starting point too would they not??

If it's around the student areas, then look in the local shops. They always have a board advertising rooms which used to belong to those who have already spent the loan and moved back home. :D
  • Hi there

I've found www.daft.ie is really good and free to both post and reply to and www.spareroom.co.uk is also really good for the area although they have this early bird thing where you have to pay to see contact details of the very recent ads. Think its like £11 for 2 weeks or something like that.

I've used both over the last while and found great places

The paper is OK but I've found that there isn't many good places in it prob as it is so expensive to post the ads

    Happy hunting

  • You're probably as well off getting the belfast tele on a Thursday if you're looking in Belfast - this is a far bigger listing source than any internet site as far as I can see. And only 60p :)
  • Hi there

My hubby has just been offered a job in Belfast and that means we have to move up (we lived in belfast for 10 years and now reside in the wilds of Fermanagh!)
We are going to rent a house but other than the Lisburn Road area of Belfast, I dont know any other areas that are good to live in- obviously we dont want to live anywhere near students so thats the holy lands out and nowhere that wears it sectarianism on the pavement:D -any suggestions?

    Hi nozzadamozza

The Ormeau Road, especially the top end and Rosetta is good, near parks, schools shops etc. Also the Ravenhill road is good too...

    Good luck with the move.

  • cheerz booklover- will add those to my search:)
  • Hi

I would recommend Ballyhackamore/Belmont area in East Belfast. Very quiet yet lively. Good schools and shops. Very handy to the city centre.

    Good luck

Old Holywood Road or the Belfast side of Holywood village itself
