It's rite of passage. And whilst we're at it, its tartan.

See this is why I'm paid £14 more per post than you...

    Touche - like weight & wait :-)

I;m showing my age but I recall the day when, as a right of passage, apprentices on building sites were sent to the builders merchants for a long weight, skyhooks and a tin of tartin paint. I m glad things have got better.

You forgot the bubble for the spirit level, the glass hammer, the left handed screwdriver and 6ft of fallopian tubing :D

I used to have a so called Manager that used to remind us all that she was paid "shed loads" of money to be superior to us minions and rub our noses in the fact that she alone could award or deny us a few quid annual bonus.
She was married to a parson.

Do you know....we still all hate her effin guts.
She is long gone thank god

In my experience, religious types are the worst. The two worst managers I ever had the misfortune to be stuck with were both churchgoers. I think some of them think it gives them a licence to be see you next Tuesdays. Maybe this s#!thead is a lay preacher or something...

    Thanks for all the reply!!!8217;s.

Just to give you an update.

I reported this issue to another manager who is now awaiting for her to return to work to then speak to her about it. When this happened the apprentice was the only person in the room with the manager and there was no line manager due to them being on holiday. Once the line manager returned from holiday the apprentice reported the issue to her but she didn!!!8217;t know how to handle the problem because their is only the manager in question to report it to.... pretty hard to report someone to themselves.

This manager has done this before and I was pulled into the managers office in question and asked why I didn!!!8217;t report the issue to them. Conflict of interest is what I stated.

It was 100% done to belittle the poor girl and make her feel like crap.

The manager is now becoming very defensive with me and I stated you don!!!8217;t need to explain anything to me as I ain!!!8217;t your boss, fake tears all started to rain and the manager locked themselve away for the rest of the day... I believe the manager is shocked that I have reported this issue and that someone has balls to do this as no one does.

yea Let!!!8217;s allow them to carry on with crappy comments so they do it to someone else...it!!!8217;s not acceptable as the manager would never dream to say what was said to myself or any other perm staff.

Sounds like you enjoy a bit of drama in the workplace and like to dress it up as concern.
